To think ‘most people’ don’t get their windows cleaned this often?

Disagreement in our house today. Do ‘most people’ (which after some discussion was pinned down to people in 30s/40s in eg 3 bed semi with a kid or two 😅) have their windows cleaned every 6-8 weeks?

YABU - of course they do
YANBU - definitely not ‘most’

We have this debate, we dropped ours down to every two months but apparently other people get theirs done monthly!

I've never paid for my windows to be cleaned. I do it on Sunday mornings, about every 3 months.

Mine get done once a month, seems normal to me.

Ours are done every 6-8 weeks, in the front of the house. The back windows are done hardly ever, maybe once a year.

My window cleaner comes about every 6 weeks.

Every 6 weeks here too, with our regular window cleaner.

Our window cleaner comes every 3 weeks.

I try to do the inside on the same day but I'm a lazy fucker, so they get done probably more like every 5 or 6.

DH does ours so we are lucky if it's twice a year

Mine used to get done once every 4 weeks but it’s gone to once every 5 recently because our window cleaner is so busy.

I've had mine done twice in 23 years. Needless to say they are filthy. We are surviving.

Edit to add: the insides do get done maybe twice a year.

About 6 weekly. Don't think our cleaner really offers you a choice!

We do ours 4 times a year.

Every 10 weeks to save money, but every 8 weeks would be better.

Our window cleaner also comes every 3 weeks.

Twice a month, for the last 16 years! It literally never occurred to me to ask to do them less than that! This thread is a bloody revelation!

It is a mystery to me how our window cleaners decide where they are going. I think in theory it is 6-8 weeks in practice it is totally random.

Ours get done about every 6-8 weeks. My window cleaner sets the schedule i get no input!

Inevitably it rains the next day.

I’ve lived in my current house for 3 years and never had the windows cleaned. They look fine to me!

Mine haven’t been washed for about 10 years, and they look no different than anyone else’s.
