Brief summary: Charlotte, from S2 of The Traitors UK, claimed she had a ONS with Conor Maynard, resulting in the birth of her daughter. She was quick to drag his name through the mud as being a deadbeat dad for not providing her with support, but two paternity tests later, it has been conclusively revealed that he isn't the father.

What an embarrassing situation for her. Surely as a woman if you're shagging multiple men at a similar time, it's basic sense to at least be sure of who the father is before publicly naming them and making accusations!

Perhaps she hoped it was Conor because he was single at the time, and the other potential father/s weren't?!

That poor girl. She's going to see all this online when she grows up. And all because of her mother's stupidity.

Surely Charlotte owes Conor a grovelling public apology at the very least?

I remember seeing a snippet of him talking about this when the first set of DNA tests came out on some sort of morning show. He was so good about it, constantly talking about the empathy he felt for her in all of it.

Perhaps he did have a condom on. Sometimes pregnancies happen despite birth control being used and barrier methods to prevent STIs. If so, it could also explain why he was always so confident that he wasn’t the father.

I don't think the baby looks like him at all. (And why would she? He isn't the baby's father!) I do agree that this woman (Charlotte Chilton) has made a massive fool of herself, and should say sorry to him publicly. That statement from 'thinkinghatmedia' is utterly pathetic.

But the baby is the absolute spitting image of him… why double order a paternity test if you know he’s probably not the father? I think he’s cheating the system here.

Charlotte was married at the time, to another woman who has since separated from her, and they spent years going through IVF. Her ex-wife now knows, in the most public way, that she was (at least) doubly cheated on after Charlotte claimed separated before it happened (although she was pictured wearing her wedding ring at the wrap party where she says she had sex with Conor).

Perhaps she thought the publicity would shame him into accepting the baby as his without doing the test and that he had more money than whoever is the father, so she would be financially better off.

I don't think so either. (As I said earlier.) Some posters are seeing something that isn't there. Especially given the fact that the baby isn't his! There's been 2 paternity tests, he's not the father!

I think for her to request the test be repeated, she must have genuinely thought - or been so desperate for it to be true that she made herself think - that he was the father.

So, I do some sympathy for her. It's possible she doesn't know who the actual father is, and as she didn't have another person to get tested, that's why she was so hellbent on proving it was this guy.

This doesn't mean I think she's in the right or that she did the right thing. I just think the whole thing is a mess, and I feel for everyone concerned, including the bloke who was labelled a deadbeat when he wasn't actually the father.

There are no winners here, least of all, the child.

Yes, I do think a public apology is needed when you drag someone's name through the mud and you're completely in the wrong.

She absolutely does but as she said in her statement she'll be telling her story in the next few weeks to the highest bidder no doubt so maybe she'll apologise then 🤔.

There is no way he chested the system. The reason he did a second test at all was because Charlotte accused him of doing that with the first one. It sounds like the second one was conducted under Big Brother style conditions 👀. And for Charlotte to have accepted the result speaks volumes.

Wonder who she'll go after next. And if any of the make cast of Traitors 24 are feeling a bit nervous now!
