Brief summary: Charlotte, from S2 of The Traitors UK, claimed she had a ONS with Conor Maynard, resulting in the birth of her daughter. She was quick to drag his name through the mud as being a deadbeat dad for not providing her with support, but two paternity tests later, it has been conclusively revealed that he isn't the father.

What an embarrassing situation for her. Surely as a woman if you're shagging multiple men at a similar time, it's basic sense to at least be sure of who the father is before publicly naming them and making accusations!

Perhaps she hoped it was Conor because he was single at the time, and the other potential father/s weren't?!

That poor girl. She's going to see all this online when she grows up. And all because of her mother's stupidity.

Surely Charlotte owes Conor a grovelling public apology at the very least?

This whole story is just mental, why go to all that hassle when there is even the tiniest possibility that it is going to show he isn’t the father and thereby make you look like a complete idiot. She says she is considering next steps or something similar on her statement, surely she can’t still be considering pursuing this further, she needs someone to give her a reality check.

Very good point, I'd forgotten she was married to another woman while she was clearly at it with multiple men. And now to have this so open in the public...I guess it shows she failed at being a faithful on multiple occasions! 😆

I love the traitors but don’t remember her (or almost anyone else from Season 2). Seems like she wanted to be in the limelight/ become a celebrity and thought having another celebrity as her baby’s dad might be the way to get there. I guess even if he’s not the father it’s partly worked because her name is still getting airtime,

If memory serves me, she got a reasonable way towards the end, but was consistently wrong in who she thought were traitors. She also had quite an obsession with Paul so...draw your own conclusions.

People who claim that baby looks the "double" of Maynard must be looking through beer goggles or something. She looks nothing like him.

She definitely needs to apologise although it will never be enough. The poor child too having to find out this and how public it was when she's older.

I found it funny when he announced the first paternity test result, how she was upset that he had told the world but yet she found no issues with telling the world he was the dad and blasting him for not stepping up.

She swore blind only he could be the father, and accused him of trying to cheat the tests. She certainly does owe him an apology.

The baby looks so like Conor I almost don't believe the results. Apparently for the first test he changed the test centres last minute...

He also was adamant he couldn't be the father which I don't understand. How did he even know throughout the whole pregnancy that it wasn't his before they even did a paternity test? They slept together so there's always a chance.

Looks like she tried to accuse him of trying to fake the test as she didn’t get the result she wanted.

The 2nd test was apparently done with legal reps for both of them in the room though.

It is a rather shocking story, especially as this woman has publicly outed herself as not knowing who the father of her baby is.

Why run to the press when there was a chance he wasn’t the father, which she must have known as she was obviously having sex with more than one man?

He may have a medical condition which he doesn’t want to make public (why should he?) or he knew he was wearing a condom (which again he may not have wanted to talk about his sex life in public) which granted is not 100% reliable but he obviously had access to facts not shared with the public and he was right.

Surely if a woman is having sex with more than one man she’d be a little more cautious about declaring the father without a test first.

Why? She basically defamed him. She's quite lucky he's not taking her to court.

Have a look back at the Loose Women interview she did, where she's asked about being in contact with the father, and she goes on about the effect he's had on her mental health...

And it's amazing that LW took what she said as gospel on this too. Surely there's a lesson to the media as well to do better due diligence on this sort of story, particularly when it turns out to be untrue?

It doesn't - it looks like an ordinary baby with no particular notable features. The only baby I have ever seen where paternity could not be in dispute was Boris Becker's baby Anna 😂 That really was like Boris in a pram.

These people are fame hungry wannabes.
Any publicity feeds the beast within them and they thrive on the drama.
Good luck to them!

I wouldn't expect any of these fame hungry, empty-headed reality show types to have the shame to apologize to be honest.

Then why even take any paternity tests?

Clearly there was a possibility he was the father, yet he wouldn't step up or take those tests until there was publicity around it.
