To think she owes him a public apology?

Has anyone else been following this story?

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-15024445/Conor-Maynard-paternity-test-results-revealed-Charlotte-Chilton-demanded-second-test-ongoing-row-daughter-Penelope.html

Brief summary: Charlotte, from S2 of The Traitors UK, claimed she had a ONS with Conor Maynard, resulting in the birth of her daughter. She was quick to drag his name through the mud as being a deadbeat dad for not providing her with support, but two paternity tests later, it has been conclusively revealed that he isn't the father.

What an embarrassing situation for her. Surely as a woman if you're shagging multiple men at a similar time, it's basic sense to at least be sure of who the father is before publicly naming them and making accusations!

Perhaps she hoped it was Conor because he was single at the time, and the other potential father/s weren't?!

That poor girl. She's going to see all this online when she grows up. And all because of her mother's stupidity.

Surely Charlotte owes Conor a grovelling public apology at the very least?

Charlotte Chilton breaks her silence over second paternity test result

Charlotte, 32, announced in June last year that Conor, also 32, was the father of her unborn 'miracle' baby.

On a - very vaguely - related note, I’m always fascinated by people who claim to be the lost love child of a pop star/movie star/royal etc. I can’t remember one that turned out to be true.

And my recollection is that they’re usually women. It’s odd.

It’s all so easy to disprove nowadays that I wonder what drives it. The mentality is intriguing.

The mentality is often undiagnosed mental illness.

Oh sure. But the way it expresses is fascinating, to me at least.

An it’s good to know slut shaming is alive and well in 2025.

Yet male shaming is quite acceptable for many on MN, not for nothing is MN known as the home of hypocrisy.

Great, another one to load onto the NHS!

Not relevant but I love Traitors and I don't remember her at all!

I find this suspect if you “love Traitors”, she was quite a big character on series 2. The one with Harry, Charlotte was a big fan of that Paul guy and was annoying even then.

SirRaymondClench · 23/08/2025 10:46

I have no idea who these people are but you sound really nasty OP and what a poisonous thread.
If she made him do two paternity tests she clearly believed he was the father.

There is a baby in all of this who will doubtless find this thread online one day.

And while you're throwing rocks at the woman maybe it's time men stopped having sex unprotected indiscriminately.

If you're having unprotected sex with women on a ONS basis then it's hardly beyond expectations that one day you're going to get someone pregnant.

404PageNotFound · 23/08/2025 10:47

Where’s the selfie in bed with Conor come from? That doesn’t look like a drugged up night, it’s quite sweet.

But he didn’t get someone pregnant.

She has repeatedly thrown bile at him in the media, said he’s a deadbeat and that he doesn’t pay for his child, made insinuations that there were drugs etc involved and tried to imply that it wasn’t consensual.

All the while he’s conducted himself in an amazing manner, made it clear he centres the child in this despite her not being his, and his family has been put through hell. She continues to make this a media storm in order to make money and keep herself relevant. She’s the one who doesn’t care about the child. Not him.

How infantilising of you to assume that women have no agency or responsibility in this.

She has behaved terribly and has made a fool of herself. She did that. Not him.

The one thing I really remember was when they do the brilliantly camp bits of everyone waiting in their rooms for the Traitors decision doing faux nonchalant activities like reading and working out, Charlotte was almost constantly in the bath.

It takes two to tango
And he didn't get her pregnant
Typical mumsnet response it's always the man's fault even when it isn't.

She'll also grown up and be able to read all the poisonous bile her mother spent months throwing at someone who pretty much turned out to be a complete stranger too.

It strange how it always seems to be involving royalty or moneyed people. I don't think I've ever seen someone swearing they are the love child of a lowly MP or lesser known TV personality.

GreenFlag · 23/08/2025 10:58

When you sleep around you need to be sure who the father is before you start accusing men. Otherwise you end up looking like a slag.

Of the top of my head, I can only think of the woman who claimed that she was the love child of the King of Belgium. She eventually proved that she was, indeed, his daughter.

It’s taking me back to my days watching “Maury!”

Women like this have no shame. Embarrassing.

I used to.love Maurey ,there was one women Shalonda?
Who was constantly bringing men to be tested as her Daughters dad I don't think they ever found out who the father was?
She was married too.

feelingalittlehorse · 23/08/2025 11:09

Anyone who wants the best for their child, would have conducted these very private and personal conversations well out of the public eye, IMO.

Thank you! I looked that up. Delphine was indeed the king’s love child.

It seems to be a bit different, though, because she was already an aristo in Belgium. It seems she was ‘outed’ rather than claimed royal parentage herself.

ConcernedOfClapham · 23/08/2025 11:15

It’s vapid nonentities washing their dirty linen in public, for attention. I wouldn’t worry about it - it doesn’t affect you in any way

KhakiOrca · 23/08/2025 11:19

Weird that there were 2 paternity tests.
And I don't think I'm seeing things when I see that baby as his double!
