Brief summary: Charlotte, from S2 of The Traitors UK, claimed she had a ONS with Conor Maynard, resulting in the birth of her daughter. She was quick to drag his name through the mud as being a deadbeat dad for not providing her with support, but two paternity tests later, it has been conclusively revealed that he isn't the father.

What an embarrassing situation for her. Surely as a woman if you're shagging multiple men at a similar time, it's basic sense to at least be sure of who the father is before publicly naming them and making accusations!

Perhaps she hoped it was Conor because he was single at the time, and the other potential father/s weren't?!

That poor girl. She's going to see all this online when she grows up. And all because of her mother's stupidity.

Surely Charlotte owes Conor a grovelling public apology at the very least?

My DS was the spitting image of David Cameron when he was a baby and I can categorically assure you that I have never been anywhere near that man.

My DS was one of a twin (picked up at EPAU at 6 weeks and then only one embryo at the 12 week scan) so I might get a DNA test done to prove this theory.

DH’s first child is the spit of him, as his exGF had a thing for similar looking men. Nobody bothered with DNA tests; first paternity candidate wanted nothing to do with her, and DH was a decent bloke so stepped up.

Grovelling apology? If he hadn't been there unwrapped he wouldn't have even been a contender surely? I'm sorry is sufficient.

As for the child being harmed by her mother’s grabby stupidity, no one will remember who her mother is. She’s exhausted her 15 minutes.

What's really weird is people continuing to post stuff like this despite two DNA tests proving he's not the father.

Of course she owes him a public apology but as others have said her statement just shows she's in it for the money and five minutes of fame from selling her made up story. I doubt he will get an actual apology any time soon, maybe in a years time when she wants some more publicity...

I am genuinely interested in this! When Connor M released his statement with the first DNA test I thought he must have paid someone off or fixed it somehow, as why on EARTH would a woman be so sure that it’s his if there were other potential fathers? But the second one seems to make it conclusive.

The other odd thing is that it doesn’t seem that he believed it could be his child at any time. Even if he wore a condom, if he had sex with her around the time of conception then there’s always a chance, right? Perhaps he has a condition, or had a vasectomy, or had reason to believe that she was having sex with others.

Person mentions scientific actuality to merely suggest that on occasion this situation does in fact occur. Yet you would appear to think I’m saying this MUST be the case. I’m not, I’m simply pointing out the fact that this is something that’s not beyond the realms of possibility.

Over the years, many women have posted on here asking for advice on possible paternity. Women tying themselves up in knots trying to work out who is the most likely father to their child between 2 men. Women hoping and praying that the guy who is the better choice (her partner, the nice guy, the lovely ex etc etc) will be the one. Women doing mental gymnastics to convince themselves that want they want for their child is true.

I suspect that Charlotte is just like those countless other women. Caught up in a mess and desperately looking for a way out that will be the best one for their baby.

It could well be that the dates involving sex with CM are a better fit for the conception. It may be that she had sex with CM but only sexual contact with someone else. So she’s convinced herself that what she thinks is true really is the truth.

Charlotte should never have aired all of this so publicly. There are no winners in this but I suspect the story will rumble on because of the hints towards drugs and another man being involved.

It is disgusting that this sensitive, private matter is being conducted in public. She is completely shameless.

Years ago we knew a couple with a toddler daughter who was the image of the mother and a son, about 8, who was the image of the father so we were astonished to learn that she had been widowed around the time her son was born, she had remarried 5 or 6 years later and had the daughter who was their child.
I'd believe 2 DNA tests rather than the conspiracy theorists. Can women ever do anything wrong in MN eyes?
