To think this is not abscene…but fairly normal?!

I have moved house and I finally have a walk in wardrobe. I’ve decided to hang everything except trousers. Friend said this was an obscene amount of clothing and laughed so much. I think it’s not that crazy 😅 what do you think obscene or normal? 🤣 this is just the top section, next section over is dresses and coats etc.

No, not obscene..I couldn't handle it all though. Up to you

Edit as can't spell all

BlueJuniper94 · 10/08/2025 19:12

I can only see the tops. I guess it's relative. It's a lot of clothes. But I'm not sure it's an unusual amount?

Willquery123 · 10/08/2025 19:12

Looks great. Wish my wardrobes were as organised!

cestlavielife · 10/08/2025 19:13

Is it designer or primark? Do you wear everything?

What's apl? 🤔

Changingplace · 10/08/2025 19:13

That’s a relatively small amount of clothes imo, your friend is odd.

TonTonMacoute · 10/08/2025 19:14

Unless you have a totally absurd number of skirts and trousers, that looks pretty normal to me.

Aha sorry! Just saw the the edit, thought it was some new acronym

HiThere2024 · 10/08/2025 19:15

I hope your friend never sees my wardrobe! I dont think I buy much clothes but I have so much more than this!

Gowlett · 10/08/2025 19:16

I have loads of clothes, looks normal to me.
You’ve done yours in such a nice order, too!

Disturbia81 · 10/08/2025 19:16

Normal amount if that’s all your tops hung up.

Chompingatthebeat · 10/08/2025 19:16

Why are you not hanging trousers

merrykerrysherry · 10/08/2025 19:17

It’s not a large amount of clothes but they all look the same

weareallcats · 10/08/2025 19:18

She would be horrified by my wardrobe 🙈.

40coats · 10/08/2025 19:19

Fairly normal to me too. It's well organised as well.
Just so you know jumpers even if they're not real wool should be folded not hung. Knitwear loses shape when it's hung.

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 10/08/2025 19:19

Ha ha, this looks capsule to me!

Tagyoureit · 10/08/2025 19:19

Its not a massive amount but you clearly have a lot of very similar items, 5 stripey, 5 white and 5 black short sleeve tops.

Do you actually wear all of them?

But in fairness, who really cares whats in your wardrobe besides you? If youre happy, it doesn't really matter, does it?

Corrag · 10/08/2025 19:19

Not a huge amount overall but quite samey. I mean, how many white & black striped tops do you need?

OLDERME · 10/08/2025 19:20

Just curious, how many outfits do you wear in one week. Asking because I am struggling to pare mine down.

OudAndRose · 10/08/2025 19:21

normal. I would guess if you showed the other bit you described that the total is similar to mine. i think i have a lot but doubt its as much as many others. Yours all looks very practical too - a lot of mine is too formal / dressy / dry clean only.

Yes I’m a capsule girl 🤣

Yeah I always thought I had very little to be honest, I’ve seen waaay more!!

@cestlavielife its pretty much all high street, a few items from boutiques. But mostly next, Zara, white stuff, the white company and mint velvet etc. with supermarket purchases in there too.

the pictures below are my other sections, I’m waiting on wardrobe boxes for the trousers etc.

Nowhere close to obscene!

@OLDERME i could wear 6-7 different outfits I suppose. But it’s all very much a set style. For work it trousers with a T-shirt or jeans with a shirt or cardy etc. I wfh two days a week so leggings or jeans with a T-shirt again.

DeirdreChambersWhatACoincidence · 10/08/2025 19:27

That's pretty much the amount I've got, except mine is very badly organised and half of it lives in the hoover cupboard because I ran out of room in the tiny flat.
