I have moved house and I finally have a walk in wardrobe. I’ve decided to hang everything except trousers. Friend said this was an obscene amount of clothing and laughed so much. I think it’s not that crazy 😅 what do you think obscene or normal? 🤣 this is just the top section, next section over is dresses and coats etc.

Sorry I reread my post back and it looked a bit mean- I didn’t intend for it too! I was just wondering if her comment was meant in a different way. If you have a style that suits you and it works for you, it makes so much sense to stick with it- it all looks very chic, you are way more trendy than I am! I have a gazillion colours and styles, all very mismatched and not capsule like you!

I suppose it's better to have lots of what you like and wear rather than stuff you don't actually wear.

This is delightful op. I would love to be this organised. Also I have Kondo'ed the shit out of them but the fact remains that I have about 30 tops sardined into a drawer.

I think it’s most likely that many people (including me) have T shirts and jumpers in a drawer so it doesn’t look so much as it’s not all hung together!

Why so many almost identical tops though? The stripey ones look so similar, as do the black t shirts.

I wouldn't say it was an obscene amount. I used to have just as many tops before my last DC came along, then I had to give up space. I have to be pretty ruthless with throwing things away if I want something new, I miss having more choice on what to wear.

I think it is a lot of clothes, but no, not obscene. Obscene is like those people on Sort Your Life Out who have three wardrobes stuffed to bursting and an entire pile in the unusable spare room and their husband has a tiny hanging rail in one of the children's bedrooms to keep their own clothes on.

my husband done built in wardrobes in 2 of our bedrooms, when my daughters left home I took over both of them 🤣

And the Winter stuff that's in suitcases ready for my late Autumn revolve (Summer stuff away, Winter stuff to wardrobes).

My mum did exactly this! Now she has a CRAZY amount of clothes! 🤣
