I'm just interested to see how many people like this weather, compared to how many hate it (me)

OP posts:
Abracadabra12345 · 11/07/2025 17:27

37 percent I meant to say!

TheChosenTwo · 11/07/2025 17:15

if you’re too hot Yanbu to hate it if you do.
i fucking love it so much so I don’t hate it at all.
I don’t hate any weather, actually quite like the dark months with short days and the inbetween.
But heat recharges me and fills my cup so I’ll never be moaning about the sun personally.

Nor I, after last spring. There was no break in the sky for months. I honestly thought that if I endured one more day of grey, glowering skies, rain, damp and mud I’d go stark, staring mad.

Loving it.

Me, too. Puts me in a right good mood.

munchingmunch · 11/07/2025 17:29

My house is so hot!

I love it - it's so uplifting to see a clear blue sky, to feel the sun on your face and being able to walk around the garden without gale force winds buffeting you! What a contrast to those perpetually dark days of autumn and winter with torrential rain, grey skies, and yet more wind!

Scotland? NW?

HollyIvie · 11/07/2025 17:31

I hate it.... wouldn't mind it if I had air con in my house. Hate how hot it gets in my house at night.

Whaleandsnail6 · 11/07/2025 17:32

Love it now that I've finished work for the weekend.

Its been tough at work but I'd rather the lovely sunny weather than endless cold and wet that it sometimes feels like in this country

BlackCoffeeAndSugar · 11/07/2025 17:34

I'm sitting in sports club with smoothie and salty crisps cos I felt so crap. 3rd trimester and it's at least a tiny bit cooler in here.

Goatblu · 11/07/2025 17:36

I usually love it (I live on the coast) but my asthma is really bad today so I'm basically lying in a darkened room and not moving much. I don't cope well with high humidity.

user1476613140 · 11/07/2025 17:37

26C and I have had it. Enough already 🙄

northernballer · 11/07/2025 17:37

The tube is fiucking hideous.

Buggysy · 11/07/2025 17:40

No it's shit because it's too hot to do anything outside so we're stuck indoors like we are when the weather is cold, wet and windy.

Dogs all in because it's too hot for them to be in the garden, which incidentally looks god awful because of the lack of rain. One thing I could do was hang some washing out but a farm has had a fire (lots of plastic), so smoke and bits of black crap now billowing for miles. So got to re wash everything.

Nah, anything over 25c in this country is not good for man nor beast. I guess once this heatwave ends it will be blowing a gale again exactly as it did after the last 'heatwave'. Why can't we just have a happy medium?

Still no rain forecast which is worrying. I'm concerned we won't just get a few needed showers, I'm worried we're going to get some biblical rainfall and flooding as the ground is so dry.

Auburngal · 11/07/2025 17:40

Being asthmatic and suffering from hay fever. I am struggling with breathing. Don't have a problem abroad in hotter temps as don't get the humidity. On Fexo 180mg twice a day, Fostair 200, Sprivia and Montelukast.

I am just allergic to this country.

Elbowpatch · 11/07/2025 17:41

I love it.

Which is just as well as there is sod all I could do about it if I didn’t. Moaning doesn’t work.

Purplepeopleeaterz · 11/07/2025 17:43

I come over all dramatic in this heat, it’s 33c here and I feel like I’m stuck in Satan’s armpit. There’s no air, the fan is blowing hot air around pointlessly, my heart is racing whenever I do anything that requires slight physical effort & I’m just angry all the time. Possibly due to waking up countless times as having the windows open overnight did nothing.

The weather report has a real feel of at least 29c for another 7 days at least so I’m hoping they are wrong!

KimberleyClark · 11/07/2025 17:43

Another thing about this weather that I hate is the increased temptation to open a nice chilled white. Whereas in the winter months a cup of tea or coffee will do.

Buggysy · 11/07/2025 17:46

I like to be able to go outside and enjoy summer i.e go for walk, do some gardening. You can't enjoy this. 5 minutes of simply standing still outside and you're sweating your backside off.

I really miss the spring we had, it was beautiful. Warm and dry enough to do anything but not so hot you almost passed out after 5 minutes.

This is just horrible. Wish there was someone I could complain to 😅

Allseeingallknowing · 11/07/2025 17:47

I’m unable to function in this heat. My clothes are sticking to me, I’m streaming with sweat, my joints ache, I have no energy. I can’t sleep. I can’t understand how any likes it!

Mumofyellows · 11/07/2025 17:49

I've been off work today so went to the beach with my dogs at 6.30 am for 2 hours of walking in the shallows and them swimming and playing. Came home did some house work then popped back down to the beach on my own at high tide for a swim to cool off.

When I'm not working I love it! When at work, not so much 😂

lunaloo56 · 11/07/2025 17:50

It is VILE. I'm sweaty and red and my ginger skin can't deal

Auburngal · 11/07/2025 17:50

I live in Leicestershire. Weather forecast earlier this week was to be 30c til Monday. Now its going to drop a couple C for tomorrow and a further C til Monday. Monday is now 26c.

I feel sorry for DM who is having hernia surgery on Monday and probably have to wear surgical stockings. I know how it feels as had my gallbladder removed in this kind of weather (low 30s for 5 days) and wore the stockings for a week.

BedlingtonWillow · 11/07/2025 17:51

We haven’t had a heatwave in my part of the north yet. It’s been 20 today and I’ve been struggling because it’s so humid! Set for 25 tomorrow- I might actually melt.

JoanChitty · 11/07/2025 17:52

I’ve just come back from a weeks holiday in North Cornwall where it was warm and sunny during the day then cooled right down at night so you could sleep. However now we’re back home it’s a very unpleasant 31 degrees!
only upside is I’ve got some of my holiday washing done already!

rommymummy · 11/07/2025 17:52

We’ve decided to save to install AC for next year. Don’t like it this hot. WFH and the PC is pumping hot air so it’s just too much!

FreebieWallopFridge · 11/07/2025 17:53

I hate it.

HATE it.

Did I mention that I hate it?
