I'm just interested to see how many people like this weather, compared to how many hate it (me)

OP posts:
OutandAboutMum1821 · 11/07/2025 16:15

It’s too hot for me atm. I’d only like this if I was on hol permanently by an outdoor pool/inside with air con.

anotherwordforit · 11/07/2025 16:16

YANBU it’s disgusting

maybe it would be okay in countries where everywhere has AC and homes are built differently, but today in my stifling hot UK house with no air con, having to walk to do the school run. It’s just gross.

FanFckingTastic · 11/07/2025 16:18

I love it - proper summer weather! I'm enjoying having the windows and doors open, being outside, wearing my shorts and flip flops, kids in the paddling pool, drinking iced coffees.... I know some people hate the heat but for me it's great. It will be winter before know it and then we will be complaining about the cold and rain!

cleanasawhistle · 11/07/2025 16:22

Its hot here
I hate summer

Nannyfannybanny · 11/07/2025 16:22

SE UK corner, 2 days ago it was 33c.i can't function past 23c, I feel lethargic, sick. The only thing I've done is the washing.its too hot to take the dogs out, long haired border collies, they have been pootling round the garden, they've got 200 feet. DH wasn't well yesterday,he was working but in the shade. News today of the hosepipe ban.

Dappy777 · 11/07/2025 16:22

Hate, hate, hate it.

I love the sun, and the blue sky, but the humidity is torture. We’re not cut out for the heat in this country. The U.K. is too densely populated, and our houses are too small and jammed on top of one another. The air itself is too hot. If this is the future, I’m moving to Scotland.

Yorkshiremum80 · 11/07/2025 16:25

I love it, did my exercise this morning and have spent the afternoon sunbathing in the garden. Yes I am sweaty but a nice cool shower later will sort that.

IMissSparkling · 11/07/2025 16:27

I also hate it, and it's only 25 degrees where I am plus there's a nice breeze. It's still too hot for me.

GlitteryUnicornSparkles · 11/07/2025 16:28

It’s 29 degrees here at the minute.

I’m ginger, we don’t fare well in the sunshine!

I like dry and sunny but not scorching. On a proper sunny day 17 - 18 degrees is plenty hot enough especially on a work day. I work largely outdoors in a manual role so get warm working. I struggle to function if I’m too warm, I hate feeling sweaty and sticky, I feel faint, I can’t sleep and if I step outside I burn to a crisp. I don’t react well to sun cream (which I hate the smell of too) so prefer not to wear it and stay in the shade. I’m doing ok right now but mostly because I’m not in work, my living room is naturally quite cool and I have nothing to do / nowhere to be so I can just sit on my arse with a cold drink eating ice-cream (in just my underwear if needs be). Roll on Autumn!

Livpool · 11/07/2025 16:29

YABU - especially when we get maximum hot, nice weather for 4 weeks. Then for 48 weeks the weather is mostly damp/wet and cold. Also, the cold and damp really affects my asthma

Byebyechicken · 11/07/2025 16:30

DinoLil · 11/07/2025 15:48

Hate it. Me and dog have been stuck indoors for over a week now.

I'm in SE and have had to take dog out early morning or much later. Morning is better because pavements are relatively cool.

Goody2ShoesAndTheFilthyBeast · 11/07/2025 16:31

I hate it. I much prefer cold weather.
Im sat here tits out fans on lying down with the curtains closed getting absolutely nothing done.
And its going to be hotter tomorrow.
Give me snow any day!

LightCameraBitchSmile · 11/07/2025 16:32

Love it! It’s only 36% humidity in London so maybe that’s why it’s not bad?

Magnir · 11/07/2025 16:35

We are on the Norfolk coast, it's cooler than at home so quite nice

Zippedydodah · 11/07/2025 16:35

I hate it, anything over 23° is too hot for me.
i was out with our smaller dog at 5am and she struggled; it was supposedly 16° but felt hotter. I probably won’t take her out at all tomorrow unless it’s considerably cooler at daybreak.
I’ve developed photosensitivity since Sunday, it’s absolutely awful, feels like severe sunburn and a horrible rash. Narrowly avoided hospital admission yesterday 😢

terracelane23 · 11/07/2025 16:37

I work outside and the Winters are brutal, so I’m enjoying not being freezing cold and wet.

AcquadiP · 11/07/2025 16:38

28 degrees here and loving it ❤️

OneBlossomBee · 11/07/2025 16:38

I am not made for this hot weather! 20-21C with a breeze is perfect, but this late 20s is sweltering, I have sweat dripping down my forehead and sat with the fan on full blast at me. The housing in the UK where it traps the heat and lack of AC makes it worse. I feel dizzy and already dropped my phone about an hour ago and cracked the top right corner. 🫣 Roll on September.

Worldwide2 · 11/07/2025 16:40

Absolutely love it. I feel so energised being out and I definitely smile more. Puts me in a good mood.

fuzzyfeltfan · 11/07/2025 16:40

BriefHug · 11/07/2025 15:56

hate it. I don’t function well in temperatures over 25C. And the dog has gone into some kind of self-preservation sleep mode so melodramatic that I have to keep checking she’s still breathing.

yes my dog has gone into this sleep mode too, Not like him at all to be this sleepy. plus he's a long haired breed he's booked in for a full groom and his cut short but the appointment is not until monday.
I do like the sun but not this hot, its just too uncomfortable and draining.

Ifeelfat · 11/07/2025 16:42

Absolutely love it.

i live 30seconds from a nature reserve - walked the dog in the shade of the trees this morning and he played in the lake, then cycled 5 minutes down the road and had my first sea swim this year.

sometimes i miss living in a city - but not today!

Lioncub2020 · 11/07/2025 16:45

In the UK there is a fairly narrow band of weather where people don't complain it is too hot, or too cold or too wet.

lazyarse123 · 11/07/2025 16:46

We're retired and dh just asked if we can emigrate to Iceland 😂😂.
We moved to a park home in October, not a caravan but insulation is shocking and we're in full sun all day. We have a full glass porch (identifies as a conservatory) fantastic for drying the sweaty clothes I've washed every day. I've actually had a cold shower every day which I've never done in my life.
I have worked in a school kitchen and a shop bakery so am relieved not to have to do that any more.

JoyDivision79 · 11/07/2025 16:47

20 to 23 degrees with a breeze is absolutely perfect for me.

This is too much and I really don't like it.

BlueandPinkSwan · 11/07/2025 16:50

Really feeing it as a diabetic as I don't sweat that much to nerve damage.
It must be hard on others with medical issues and being pregnant no fun at all.
