Would you be annoyed if a relative bought a house 3 doors down from you without telling you?

That’s it really, you bought anew house and a few months later a relative buys a house a few doors down, without saying a word. Would you be annoyed? Or would it even bother you?

I moved in to the same street as a very distant cousin years ago. We are not close but probably bump in each other weekly. It’s nice to have someone who is a bit more than a neighbour in some ways.
We have keys to each other’s houses . We will do last minute cat feed requests and she asks me to close her curtains at night when they are on holiday, bins out , parcels, borrow teabags etc. We do not socialise together but it’s handy to have someone you definitely trust if you need something!

Depends ?
I would quite like my older daughter nearer as then I’d be able to see grandchild very easily as well as her and her husband.
But I’d still put boundaries there as I wouldn’t want them constantly dropping round
