Kim this is a cracking series of typos. Escargot 🤣

(Presume you meant Was it really necessary to start another)

The whole thing is laughable isn't it? How did we get into a situation where the Prime Minister thinks that women can have a penis, men a cervix, and the Supreme Court needs to clarify what male and female means under equality legislation? Nuts.

We don't. It was Lammy who said men could grow a cervix. Starmer already did a reverse before the election.

Naunet · 22/04/2025 13:01

Wow, I thought they were all having tantrums over how to avoid following the law, so this is good to see (and about time frankly). I hope they next tackle the NHS in London and bring them into line.

ScrewedByFunding · 22/04/2025 13:02

I was told off recently on a first aid course for role playing a 999 call and identifying the patient as a woman as I might be misgendering the 60 year old unconscious person with breasts called Jen that I had spent the morning working with.

The trainer was a young man (he gave us his pronouns at the start) in his early 20s.

Hopefully this bollocks (male) will stop soon.

MrsMappFlint · 22/04/2025 13:04

Cannot wait for Labour to come calling at my door for the local elections.

I want to ask him if my aunt has balls does that make her my uncle.

The battle may be won but the war isn't - the Mail on Sunday front page headline was: Ministers in Whatsapp Plot to Defy Trans Ruling.

The alleged culprits were Dame Angela Eagle, Chris Murray, Steve Race and Chris Bryant. I suspect David Lammy still thinks that women are 'hoarding their rights'. A lot of people in the government are intent on overriding the ruling...

Indianajet · 22/04/2025 13:08

This makes me sad - do we really want transwomen to have to use men's toilets, and transmen to have to use women's toilets? This will put transwomen at risk - I hate the hysteria that has arisen over this issue.

ButtermilkYellow · 22/04/2025 13:09

This also means trans men have to use the women’s toilets.. I’m sure if we wait a few months there’ll be plenty of threads complaining about beardy men in the ladies because they were born with a uterus.

Trying to think of a joke about that brilliant typo/autocorrect fail but my brain is a bit... sluggish today

randomchap · 22/04/2025 13:11

For all the labour bashing, the trans rights movement came to a head during the Tory governments. If the Tories wanted to protect women then they could have done that any time. They didn't want to, they wanted to keep this as a wedge issue to use to attack Labour. They do not care about women

Yes i do. But then I dont value male desires over womens safety.

Hotandbothered222 · 22/04/2025 13:11

The trouble is, this is the attitude of transwomen (see attached Twitter photo). They are prepared to physically fight to be allowed to stay in a female space. They are in fact, better women than actual women. I wouldn’t want to challenge one of these people in a toilet or anywhere else, for my own safety.

for anyone with a strong stomach, this transwoman, Meja is a prolific poster on Twitter, and is extremely aggressive in a way that we tend to associate with male behaviour, no matter what they say.

Yes. and if they don't feel safe, they can campaign for a third space. Males do not belong in women's spaces

The trans women have the TRA to blame for this for pushing too hard. They’ve also had years to campaign for third spaces but that’s clearly not what they want.

How is it our problem to solve men being violent to other men?

Everything is down to women. Make men's toilets gender neutral. Problem solved.

There is no “we”. I simply don’t want men to use women only spaces. That’s it. If women use men’s spaces, that’s up to men.
