To be so disturbed by the male race currently

All the business with Lily Philips - how many men queued up to do what they did to her

And Gisele Pelicot

Are men really that obsessed with sex that they are so desperate to rape and queue up and be solely concerned with their own depraved satisfaction.

I know it's not all men but I'm feeling so disillusioned with men in general and it seems to be getting worse and not better.

Does anyone else feel like this? Also the only people I see posting about Gisele are female.

Where are all the men??

I'm raising boys and to be honest it's terrifying to look at my innocent children and the world they are growing up in.

The men didn’t do anything to Lily Phillips, they accepted an invitation to indulge in a highly pleasurable and consensual activity with a willing participant.

"To be so disturbed by the male race currently"

Men are not a separate race from women....

I actually can’t even see how it would be pleasurable. Apparently the room stank so much the camera man almost threw up. It’s creepy and weird to line up like that.

YANBU OP it’s bewildering.

Blabadder · 20/12/2024 14:12

They’re all fucking disgusting - every single male rapist and every single knee of those men queuing up to be one of a hundred men having sex with that woman.

Foul what they’ll do with permission or if they think there will be no consequences

I actually find that even more disturbing, that anyone could find 90 seconds of rubbing yourself around someone's vagina, or in someone's mouth, where a load of men had just been, and a load of other men were waiting in the room next door to have another go, and find it "highly pleasurable".

neverknowinglyunreasonable · 20/12/2024 14:15

Using these two women in the same example makes me very uncomfortable.

holju · 20/12/2024 14:16

What happened to Gisele is very disturbing. It's shocking that so many seemingly ordinary men were willing to join in given the opportunity. Any one of us could have been her. Lily is a completely different situation. There will always be men desperate for sex and women desperate for fame and money- it's transactional and distateful but not particularly surprising.

They really aren’t that different.
Lily Phillips is self harming IMHO and what man in his right man would take part in that fiasco?

zzplea · 20/12/2024 14:19

It's the internet. It enables people to do things (good and bad) they otherwise wouldn't have an opportunity for. And it amplifies knowledge of those activities to people who didn't participate or have any interest, but who then become aware of it.

Also the media, although they're probably more selective. I don't think I've seen the "had sex with a 100 men" item on the BBC.

ACynicalDad · 20/12/2024 14:19

I'm probably the same race as you. Consensual sex is just that, and it takes 2 or 101 to consent, don't want to play then don't. I wouldn't. The Gisele case is alarming, but reflecting that on 4 billion people seems excessive.

Oh come on, give me a break!

In what world is this okay? In what world would women do this, if some random bloke said he was wanting to shag 100 women in a day? I bet there would be ZERO women lining up for that shite.

What kind of man would even want sex in this way? Sticking his dick where 2 minutes before, another dick was? That in itself is weird.

But more than this, how did none of these men wonder whether this was a very damaged young female? And muse, that perhaps, she might be even more damaged after 100 men shagged her in a day? And that maybe they didn't want any part of that on their conscience? And that perhaps it would be better to find sex organically, with someone who was truly willing?

And, did you not hear Lily say, that a lot of the men did not respect the few boundaries that she had voiced - for example, many of them came on her face / in her eyes, which was meant to be off limits.

Do not make any excuses for these "men". You wouldn't want your Dad to be in the queue, you wouldn't want your son to be in the queue, you wouldn't want your brother to be in the queue and you wouldn't want your husband to be in the queue. And if you found out that Nigel at work was one of the 100, I'd bet you'd look at him differently.

As for Gisele, it's so much worse - these men knew she was being raped, and they did it anyway. The mind absolutely boggles.

I've heard tales as well, of perfectly normal men going to war, and then raping women whenever they can. My mind can't compute it really. It's terrifying.

TY78910 · 20/12/2024 14:24

I don't understand how Gisele's husband got only 20 years? For 10 years of consistently drugging his wife, then running a rape brothel? Seems a bit low for me

I agree the whole concept is very distasteful. But most men enjoy sex, and orgasms. Lily is very attractive, and the challenge aspect may have seemed harmless and a bit of a laugh to many. I’m quite sure that if a very good-looking man did something similar, there would certainly be some women who would be only too willing to oblige, in the same way that pop stars and the like seem to have no problem attracting groupies.

Startinganew32 · 20/12/2024 14:29

So you’re disturbed by men queuing to shag Lily Phillips but not by Lily Phillips herself? WTF is going on that a seemingly intelligent privileged young woman thinks this is a good way to make money?

Ick really? You'd think it was reasonable if someone invited you and 99 others for a 'highly pleasurable' activity like this? You wouldn't imagine that the person doing the inviting must be vulnerable/damaged/desperate? You just think it was all good fun and lovely all round? Really?

She isn’t vulnerable. Far from it.

ThatCoralMaker · 20/12/2024 14:32

I don’t think they are getting worse - I think there have always been good men and bad men.
Mist of us are lucky enough to be surrounded by the good ones but the internet and 24 hr news has exposed us to the bad ones that women less fortunate than some of us on here have always known existed.

Pleasurable? Being one in a long queue? For 5 minutes at the most?

I'd have thought it more pleasurable in the comfort of your own home with your right hand

It’s the lucrative career she has chosen. Its basically prostitution, with a twist.

Men are not a separate race from women....

Sometimes you have to wonder

Nogaxeh · 20/12/2024 14:36

There is a lot to be disturbed by recently. After Trump won the election - which is disturbing enough itself - there was a meme going round of young men and teenagers saying, "your body, my choice" which was so brazen in its intimidation of women.

There's the increasing frequency of strangulation of women and the "rough sex" defence for murder.

So much else.

TakeMyBreadAway · 20/12/2024 14:36

A man I knew years ago (not romantically) would say “Any hole’s a goal”.

Nothing’s changed. If anything men are even worse now.

honeypotter · 20/12/2024 14:37

@Startinganew32 she's clearly not well. Who in their right mind would do this?

I can well believe that ejaculating inside a woman, perhaps a much better- looking one than he could normally hope to attract, would be highly pleasurable for almost any straight man. That’s literally how human males are wired, which is why we’ve been so wildly successful as a species. That’s not to say that almost any straight man would consider such an arrangement.
