Yes I do wonder and I don't buy the 'but it's not all men'n 'I am so lucky I only know nice ones' either. I think men are very good at compartmentalizing and can become feral in the right conditions. I do believe that every man is capable of a lot more than we women naively would like to think. I say this as a mother of two boys and married woman. I would loge to believe that the men/boys I know would never ever do something like this but in so many cases you see wives or mothers or partners saying they were exemplary men yet still went onto abuse.

If we can recognise that Lily Philips wasn’t in her right mind can it not be recognised that these men likely weren’t in their right mind either? Porn and OnlyFans have clearly made Lily think it’s okay to sell herself and that sex can be a transaction and they have also clearly made the 100 men think it’s okay to buy sex as it’s a transaction. Both parties seemed to be driven by the idea of doing something shocking and novel. This wasn’t a normal prostitution scenario and it’s clear that everybody involved is obviously very fucked up.

It’s also a million miles from the Giselle case where a woman was drugged and raped multiple times, by multiple men, over a period of years at the hands of a man she thought was a loving husband. Lily was in control and at any point between man #1 walking in and man #100 walking out she could have said stop and ended the entire thing, Lily had a voice in what she chose to do which is something that cannot be said for Giselle. The two are in no way comparable and it’s shocking if you really think they are similar situations.
