What kind of things do they like in general? Have they got good stamina ? I suppose it depends how they live their lives. Would love some feedback on things like -

I'm a bloke aged slightly older than that. I'd say it depends entirely on the individual.
I like fine wine and classical music, I have friends who prefer beer and heavy metal. So sorry - can't really help other than to suggest you ask him about himself.

They can vary. I know someone recently who died from alcohol poisoning at that age, and others who does long distance swims.

Music - again, the choice is huge - rock, blues, folk, punk. They were teens in the 80s so could have been a New Romantic ( Duran Duran) or into heavy metal (The Damned).

Present - whiskey is my first thought, but equally they may not drink whiskey.

Then how can we know what 56 year old men like? Are they all the same?

Well, they are all one amorphous mass, so having never met this man I can confidently say he's:

Really into cars
Loves vintage movies
Hates spam
Moderate stamina
Has a fake leg but it's very well concealed
Would have been an adventurer but took an arrow to the knee (hence the fake leg)
Likes dry bumming
Mostly enjoy hurdy gurdy music
Would love a multi pack of blancmange (Princes brand, nothing but the best)

My DP is 56. I'm younger. I expect they're all different. Mine has plenty of stamina I'm happy to report. I suppose you'd need to know his likes. Mine likes sport, a few beers, going away for romantic breaks, nice long walks, meals out, relaxing at home, cooking together and so much more. I think it's more down to compatibility. Does he know you have a crush?

As for what they typically like….young vulnerable impressionable women. Very few would not take advantage of that.

I’m guessing you’re a lot younger given that you’re asking this? I think the age gap becomes more relevant as people enter their 50s (I’m older than my dh and it’s now that it’s hitting). Generally people slow down a bit, get tired more, become a bit grumpier. Mass generalisation of course. That’s just my observation.

DH 56 hates football and never watches any sports whatsoever. He walks between 3-10 miles a day with the dogs and plays golf with our DS...a lot in Summer.
Music...a proper New Romantic 80s boy.
Artistic and also a member of the dodgy handshake brigade for years. His heart is in the right place. I know no one quite likes him but not all women my age are the same either.
