What kind of things do they like in general? Have they got good stamina ? I suppose it depends how they live their lives. Would love some feedback on things like -

work? What does he do?
if he has to travel/drive then maybe travel mug and coffee shop voucher?

See this is very generic. My dh is a couple of years younger than 56. He likes watching sports and cars but hates diy and gardening. Isn't a bird watcher. He doesn't drink and loves heavy metal /rock. He's got great stamina. Asking what an age group like is ridiculous as everyone is different. Take him as a individual and find out what he likes.

I think you will have to find out a bit more about this particular 56 year old. My boyfriend is 58 and he likes comic books and super heroes. He definitely wouldn’t like some of the suggestions on this thread.

Well, I've no idea whether this thread is proving to be of any use to you, @Jumell , but as the wife of a 56-year-old DH (who also has several friends attempting to do online dating with a load of mid-50s men) I'm thoroughly enjoying it! Exciting to have a crush, OP 😍

For what it's worth...

DH is into:

• Seeing his friends (pub, football, rambling)
• Football (playing, watching, blathering on about)
• Beer (the special types with special cans and whimsical names, which all taste the same to me)
• Reading books about philosophy
• Proper long walks in the countryside with dog and me

The ones my friends have encountered online do seem, on average, to be different beasts (especially, unfortunately, the ones who've been single for a while). These ones have been more into:

• Sexual behaviours which can only have emerged through relentless watching of abusive porn
• Pressuring women in their 40s to get into the above sexual behaviours
• Being horrified about the idea of relationships with women of their own age

I think he might be a bit young for that music. They were 1960s bands whilst the music was good people born in the late 40s and early 50s would be the age group. Your crush was born late 1960s so late 70s and 80s music.
