Hope you are feeling better now Laura and have been able to rest. Unfortunately I don’t know anything about being able to keeep your house but hopefully while it all still up in the air about your son, you will be okay. Even more reason to get a court ordered arrangement regarding him. 🌼🌼🌼
I am sure others will be able to better advice than me.

BeNavyCrab · 05/12/2024 17:34

Just caught up on your news Laura and echo what a tosser your ex is being. He's definitely emotionally manipulative towards your son, by trying to put any reason real or otherwise not to be able to live with you. I feel so sorry for your youngest because he's in such a difficult situation. Document evidence, screenshot and save every message between anyone in the family because I suspect at some point it might come down to a legal fight. Courts will take the wishes of a child into account but not above the welfare of the child. A parent who has been emotionally, physically violent( even if not to the child) and not fulfilling legal obligations like making sure they attend education, will have a much worse chance to keep custody.

However for the moment I would try to focus on keeping the conversation going with your youngest, so you know where he is and what's happening to him. Then when he is home, trying to facilitate visiting you and take it from there.

I can totally understand why you had such a bad panic attack and it can be very difficult to know what the cause of chest pain is. It was absolutely the right thing for them to send an ambulance and assess you. I'm so glad it wasn't anything that needed a trip to hospital.

MsJinks · 05/12/2024 17:38

Aww - you're all so lovely! Just to answer a few questions-,
I love cocktails 😃, like green but only have blue coats, is that ok?? Can't craft 😢 - I might do the mails as I do have to watch for my passive aggressive mails at work - or most recently to my EA - found I am no better at picking guys for any purpose 🧐
Love singing - sadly no one else likes me to do this - but am going to singalong
in Liverpool in June 25 with the Boss! Love him and he's my latest hobby - when I was age 23ish he came to my home town - £17 to go see him - dickhead no. 1 husband said 'no' - worst of all I could hear him on the night - gutted! I mean tbf to hubby if Bruce had asked me to run away with him I so would have done, plus as I gawp a bit at him now he's over 70 then I guess I would have then lol Anyway long time coming, but blessed to be in a position to go see him in 2023 and felt the cost just must be essential to relieve this old old trauma 🙈🤣- now I can't stop going! Aston in 23, Sunderland 24 and Liverpool 25 😃😃 - I am going with daughter and her fella and we stay a couple of nights usually too - luckily they're always accommodating to me, as to 'things to do in Bruce concert cities' so sure I can add sorting shithead out to our itinerary @Imbluedalale
More importantly it's so awful you've had a panic attack due to ex - hope you're ok now and really hope it doesn't happen again - I understand they're so like heart attacks most get confused with them - and please, in the nicest way, just stop worrying about 'wasting time' of others - you're really not and you're important too, very important.

Hi everyone,
I finally managed to finish the diary for my Mum. The colouring is done with acrylic paint pens, so that it doesn't fade. After that I used a bit of metallic gel pen for highlights and to make all the card waterproof I used micro glaze. It's then layered with both some green mirror card and sparkly card, because who doesn't love a bit of sparkle at Christmas. 😄

Stop 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣, oh but can you sing @MsJinks because we need a lead singer. We also need to know the following:
Do you like cups of tea/coffee and biscuits?
Have you smelt Shay & blue?
Are you good at writing emails/being irky on the phone?
Are you anywhere near Liverpool so you can go and drop a bucket of shit on Ex’s head?
Have you decided what to wear on book launch night?
Hows your left hook?
Xx

Um excuse me. I can sing. One of my kids is a trained opera singer. 😂🎶

@BeNavyCrab that is beautiful, I’m sure your mum will love it. I am a paper crafter/make cards but have lost my mojo a bit. Probably be better once I have finished sorting my house out.

Morning @AdmittowearingCrocs , how are you today? I’m feeling much better with the chest pains thank you.
I contacted my housing association for advice on if youngest doesn’t stay here and they said I’ve signed a tenancy agreement now for 12 months so I’m safe until then . Hopefully I will be back working by then fingers crossed.
My sister who’s a social worker said the courts will take into consideration my youngest wishes so that’s helped relieve me abit . I need to speak to my youngest and reassure him that I would never take him away from his friends or football. His friends could even stay over if he wanted . One of the other things he is worried about is getting here as his dad has said he won’t be fetching him so I’m going to suggest me getting bus from here to bus station and meeting him there to come back . I just don’t want him worrying about things he shouldn’t be worried about xx

Morning @BeNavyCrab , I hope you ok today?
Your diary is absolutely beautiful I’m so impressed.
I feel really sorry for my youngest to, I can’t believe ex and his mum are doing this. I’m just trying to do my best in reassuring youngest . Going to ring school today to find out what work he has missed out on and suggest to youngest we sit and do it together here . If I can give my youngest enough reassurance then I hope he comes round to the idea of staying with me again. When my daughter went back the other day as she’s working a lot she said that Ex’s mum and his sister were bombarding her with questions about me and the house . Why can’t they just let me be? I’m not doing them any harm or affecting their lives . It’s just really upsets me that they are putting on the kids it’s not fair they shouldn’t be made to feel guilty for being with their mum xx

Hi @MsJinks , lovely to have you as a spoonie . How are you today?
You sound like you’re going to fit in perfectly. Oh I love cocktails too although I’m doing a year without alcohol and I’m 9 months in and I don’t miss it tbh and haven’t even given it a second thought. But I definitely do love a cocktail. What’s your favourite one? I remember once I ordered this cocktail at an Italian restaurant and it had my two favourite things , cocktails and candy floss. The picture showed a big blob of candy floss in the glass so I couldn’t wait to try it . I was very disappointed ☹️, as soon as the drink was brought to me I watched as the candy floss sunk into the cocktail and what’s worse is that I’m sure it soaked up the alcohol in the cocktail as there was half a drink there afterwards. Probably worst £12 I’ve ever spent 😂
I love singing in private but definitely not in public , luckily I can’t hear myself when I sing as I wear headphones.
Ex only goes to Liverpool for the winter up until Christmas Eve which is a shame if you’re going next year. Oh well, I’m still hoping he gets a bad case of piles .
Your concerts you go to sound amazing and it sounds lovely that you go with your daughter and her fella ❤️
I’m feeling ok now thank you , had a few sharp pains in chest during the night but did the method that was suggested on here to distract myself and it did help. Strangely the winds been howling here all night which I found quite comforting xx

I'm primarily a card maker myself but occasionally do other things with bits of card. I never did anything art/craft related until becoming severely disabled and now I love it. I rarely make the same card twice, which can be a bit crazy when it comes to Christmas cards. I start with the best intentions of a different one personalised for each recipient but as I can't do too much per day and there's some I can't argue all, so it ends up being a mad dash to get them out the door every year. You'd think I'd learn. I make the same New years resolution, to have some spare generic cards read in advance and then "poof", that plan has flown out the window again!🤣🤣

You sound like a fun person and I envy you going to all those concerts.
I only sing on Smule, when there's nobody to hear me and then don't save it. So nobody is the wiser and I don't inflict bleeding ears by accident. My husband says I have a nice voice but I grew up with parents who said I'm tone deaf, so I can still hear that internal monologue. I do wonder sometimes because my Mum sings and thinks she sounds wonderful, but I really don't think she's got a great voice 😜

If it's my birthday I would be ordering a long island tea as my favourite cocktail but I rarely drink alcohol, so best I eat something too. I love a really nice fancy burger and chips, got to have some bacon, cheese and pulled pork in there though.😄

Every new year I also vow I am going to get my Christmas cards made in plenty of time but I rarely achieve it. It used to be work getting in the way but it all just went tits up this year. I mostly use a die cutter combined with rubber stamping and do a different theme each Christmas for my cards. I have sometimes made a set of similar birthday cards if I have been really pleased with how the first one has turned out. I like to have a selection of generic cards ready too 😁
