Not apologising for him at all, it's horrific, but I don't think this was just the father inflicting dreadful violence on Sara. I think get step mother bears some responsibility too.

Happens all the time sadly when women.speak out about abuse. Cafcass give priority to fathers over the child's safety.

The kindest thing to do to the adults is lock them away for life.
