I don't particularly think it's in poor taste, there has been many similar articles regarding German integration over the years from many different news outlets including many German new sources.

Yes I have, many times! My cousin is married to a German man & they have kids in school there. Education is on the decline like it is here due to similar problems regarding teacher shortages, absenteeism etc. There is a lot wrong within the country.

Ok. So if it has failed, why? And what are the proposed solutions? From what I can see from the headline, the Daily Mail has failed to tell the actual story - so yeah, it's a dog whistle pretending to be news.

If they are in Sachsen Anhalt it will be different from Bayern.
This kind of simplistic reporting is what drives the AfD.

Immigration brings so much to a country. With the exception of maybe the Andaman Islands virtually all countries have ALWAYS had people moving to them. Immigration is part of all countries. Immigration is part of life. Countries don’t fail because of immigration, they fail because of poor decision makers in power.

Stop blaming people who aren’t white. Stop blaming muslims. Instead of just reading the DM read more widely, educate yourself (not EDL daily snippets) but actual books. Raise yourself.

It's not really my place to offer opinion on German society as I know nothing about it. But if you do then sure agree or disagree with the article. Up to you

@Mimififi fair enough. I can imagine there's a myriad of complex reasons for this. The article doesn't seem to be offering much in the way of a solution. As I say, I don't know Germany at all. Probably won't ever go there. Not that I've anything against it!

Immigration works if it works both ways! If I moved to many countries my religion would not be accepted, I could be persecuted & I definitely would not be able to practice my Christianity or access a church.

Time matters. You can bring about any change you want, no matter how drastic, as long as it’s done over a long period of time. Mass migration amounting to millions of incomers from a vastly different culture and with a different mindset over the course of 2-3 years is insane. It is bound to cause issues.

No amount of calling people racist and presenting simplistic world views is going to change that.
