So, summer in nearly upon us and I still haven't gotten into shape!
AIBU to ask some of you to join me in a 30 day challenge to strive towards being a little bit healthier?
My aim is to get up early every morning and do a 30 min walk/run and stick to a healthy diet.
I'm hoping we could all post a message every night/other night updating on our progress and being a support of sorts to each other to keep us focused on our long term goal.
Anyone up for it?

A little bit late to the party but I’m in. 11st 4 and need to get back down to 8st 7. Peri menopause has not been kind to me but with my best friends wedding on the 20th of June, if I could just shift 8-9lbs I’d at least feel better.

First weigh in this morning - 13 stone 2lbs. An unwelcome, but not unexpected amount.
Off for a walk then pop to the supermarket to get some eggs and spinach.
I'd like to be below 12 stone 7lbs when I go on holiday.

Scales didn’t make me cry (all inc week holiday last week)
start weight 191
weight today 180.2
target weight 170 (by 6th July)
taking puppers for long country walk and weights class today. Booked all my swimming for the next week to keep myself on track

Morning all. I don't have scales but there's a Boots nearby where I can get weighed, might not be open though as it's bank holiday. If not then I'll have to wait until Wednesday to do it. I think it's going to be a bit of a nasty shock and kick up the arse. In the long term I need to lose at a minimum 3 stones to be at a "healthy" weight for my height but I would like to lose 4 eventually. It'll be nice to see how much I can lose in 30 days.

Just having a cup of coffee to start the day. I'll be having a slim fast for breakfast, egg salad for lunch and chilli for dinner.

I'm in please. I started the 30 day shred on Friday so day 4 today and I'm feeling better about myself just for starting. My personal goal is to complete the shred programme and knock the snacking on the head. So far so good!

I'm in. I have wasted the last 6 months not being consistent with eating. Weighed in at 11.10 this morning. I go on holiday in 3.5 weeks time and I would like to lose 7lbs. I walk 5/6 days a week for an hour so I will continue that plus no alcohol, try to avoid white carbs and no unhealthy snacks. Good luck everyone.

Ah @SpicyNikNak I'm doing the 30 day shred too 😊 today is day 10 for me. A little bit dreading level 2 tomorrow 😬 have you done it before? I've done it 4/5 times but only managed to complete it twice..

If it helps, my PT has reset my 46 year old brain to stop looking at the scales and measure. So whilst I ‘only’ lost around 10 pounds in the 11 weeks, I lost 13cm from my waist. And I have (in her words) guns instead of flappy bingo wings. She is a 45 ex RAF engineer so gets the hormone element.
I swim most days, follow ‘Lift with CEE ’ (over 40’s home weights) on YouTube, walk and I’ve gotten into tai chi for the MH side. Whilst I log via MFP (to check I eat enough protein) I don’t obsess over calories, close my rings every day and challenge myself to try a new workout every week.
shes also taught me to be kind to myself, less critical and trust the process!

This is actually true about not looking at the scales and measuring.

Sometimes you have not lost any weight, say, because you have converted fat into muscle. But if you MEASURE yourself, you have lost flab!

10st3 today- and yesterday too- have somehow lost 3lb without noticing. Goal weight is 9st7 so not as far to go as I thought.

Sounds similar to me @lairyfights9. I've completed it a couple of times over the years with decent results but also dropped out a few times too! I'm determined to do the full 30 this time. Good luck with level 2!

166lb this morning, my goal is 140 (10 stone). I am starting the 30 day shred later! Did it before years ago and I remember having very achey legs 😩

13 stone exactly. I’m just under 5ft 4. So in 30 days I will be 8 pounds lighter.

Today I will calorie track to 1500 calories and do 10,000 steps. I need to find 15 mins to do some cardio too. I’ll drink 1 litre of water.

Good morning

Starting at 208.6 today. Half a stone down in 2 weeks from my original start date!

My aim is to be under 200lb by the end of June. Today I am fasting until at least 12 and making a meal plan for the week.

@Floating101 Thanks for the reminder, I need to dig out my DVD!

Today's plan is clearing out the garden as we have a skip arriving tomorrow morning so want all the rubbish on the front so I can just get it all dumped in. Then we start on the house tomorrow! I'll also be walking my dog and my friends dog as she has just had surgery so can't manage to much of a walk with. a bouncy boxer!

Food wise, aiming for about 1600 cals with low carb choices. Also 2l of water (need to clean my water bottles and get them in the fridge) and having a booze free week.

I actually started a couple of days ago and weighed 11st 11.5 lbs. My plan is to stop being a greedy fucker.

It doesn't help that I am not particularly tall, I'm 5'4 and rotund.

I'm doing five days on Slimfast, three shakes a day plus fruit. My brain needs a rest from the constant battle with stuffing myself with chocolate and cake. This way I don't need to make any decisions.

Well, just weighed myself and I'm 13st 2lbs at 5'4. Disappointed but not surprised. I'm determined to sort this out once and for all though.

Started at 11.4.6 this morning. Went to the gym yesterday and my legs ache so will go tomorrow rather than today.

I haven't been too bad recently (I was 11.10) but can't seem to budge from this weight!

I have found running helps with weight loss so will try and do more of this.

I'm in. I'm 160lbs and 5'3. Can't exercise at the moment as recovering from surgery, a lot of lying around means I'm grazing on biscuits far too much. This may well be the accountability I need.

I'm in. Lost a fair bit of weight last year, felt loads better for it, then haven't really got back on the wagon since Christmas so it's been a steady creep. I basically need to cut out flour and sugar as once I start eating it I just crave it. So my aim for the next 30 days (starting tomorrow, once I've finished this loaf of bread...) is to have cut the crap, eat healthily, stop gaining, and if I lose anything too so much the better.

I'm the same height as you and rotund as well. I carry weight in the worst areas, belly and arms rather than my legs and bum. Currently have the figure of Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc. Ugh.

13st 1.6lbs this morning. Aiming for 12st 7lbs in 30 days. I'm also 5'4".

Had All Bran and two cups of tea this morning. Need to drink more water - I'm good at drinking water at work but awful when I'm off work!
