To ask you to join me in a 30 day weight loss challenge?

So, summer in nearly upon us and I still haven't gotten into shape!
AIBU to ask some of you to join me in a 30 day challenge to strive towards being a little bit healthier?
My aim is to get up early every morning and do a 30 min walk/run and stick to a healthy diet.
I'm hoping we could all post a message every night/other night updating on our progress and being a support of sorts to each other to keep us focused on our long term goal.
Anyone up for it?

I will join you. When are we starting?

I am going to weigh myself tomorrow to see where I'm at, I'm the biggest I've ever been. Last time I weighed myself was nearly a year ago and I was 12st 12lbs (I am 5'4) and I suspect now I have tipped over 13 stone which puts me in the obese category.

I am attending a wedding in August and it would be lovely to lose a stone before then!

@Furrydogmum wow that’s loads to lose in a month, what is your plan? I find weight loss so slow now I’m almost 40 😩

Id like to lose 20 pounds total but currently out of action with a bad knee after surgery so will have to focus on diet alone for a bit.

Currently eating my last doughnut;) and then only have 'healthy food' in my fridge and cupboards.

Me 🙋‍♀️ but not til Tuesday, had crappy holiday last week so want to enjoy the bank holiday at least! Booked another holiday yesterday so 6 weeks to lose a bit more. Started 11 weeks ago with PT, joined local leeeesure centre so do get a few km in the pool done every week, even managed to persuade DH that the dogs need far more walks!

I’m in. I’m trying already but not having much joy. I’m going to commit to upping my daily steps, weight training 3 x per week and eating over 100g of protein per day.

I’m in will weigh myself tomorrow. Had a good week last week but the weekends been hard and it’s half term always harder to stick to good eating in the holidays.

44 here and also struggle to lose. add in PCOS and it's double hard. But I will join this thread, 30 days seems doable. Will come back with A Plan and target weight loss

I would love to join. I'm 33 with two little children under the age of five. I didn't 'bounce back' after pregnancy, and I'm certainly keen to improve my overall health. As soon as I have time this evening, I'll come up with some goals and actions for myself.

I go away in one month. I'm currently 11st 4 and would love to hit 10st 13 . I really struggle to get under 11st since I hit my 40s

Me too please. I am just on a flight back home after being in France for a month. Dreading getting Weighed! But it was a good holiday so cannot complain. I just caught sight of myself in the mirror in the loo on the plane and it is not a pretty sight😁

If it helps, my PT has reset my 46 year old brain to stop looking at the scales and measure. So whilst I ‘only’ lost around 10 pounds in the 11 weeks, I lost 13cm from my waist. And I have (in her words) guns instead of flappy bingo wings. She is a 45 ex RAF engineer so gets the hormone element.
I swim most days, follow ‘Lift with CEE ’ (over 40’s home weights) on YouTube, walk and I’ve gotten into tai chi for the MH side. Whilst I log via MFP (to check I eat enough protein) I don’t obsess over calories, close my rings every day and challenge myself to try a new workout every week.
shes also taught me to be kind to myself, less critical and trust the process!

I'm in! We've just booked a holiday in August, and I've got a fair bit of weight to lose - ideally 2 stone.

I'm kicking myself. I knew I had weight to lose when I came back from last year's holiday - but I thought there's plenty of time for that. And I haven't started 😳

I'm in. Start of half term, where I always fall off the wagon spectacularly so be good to keep the motivation going.

Ive spent the day batch cooking some nice low carb food. Planning to fast til lunch then start the day with chaffles and berries then a good dinner. Get my steps up and we are having a massive clear out this week so will be carrying all sorts through the house and be up and down stairs. If I've time I also want to do. abit of decorating!

Those toilet mirrors should be banned. I saw myself in one in a Costa once, a full length, streth marks, belly an' all reflection while using the toilet and actually recoiled

I'm in! We go away 10 weeks today so I have left it late to start trying to lose weight and shake up, but hopefully a 30 day target with give me the kick that I need!

I'll start tomorrow as well - last time I weighed myself a couple of weeks ago, I was 13st 1.6lbs. First goal is to get back into the 12st bracket. I've no idea what a reasonable amount of weight to lose in 30 days is, but if I could get to 12st 7lbs I'd be very happy!
