So, summer in nearly upon us and I still haven't gotten into shape!
AIBU to ask some of you to join me in a 30 day challenge to strive towards being a little bit healthier?
My aim is to get up early every morning and do a 30 min walk/run and stick to a healthy diet.
I'm hoping we could all post a message every night/other night updating on our progress and being a support of sorts to each other to keep us focused on our long term goal.
Anyone up for it?

😂 I'm not planning to do it all over again! 5 days a week instead of 7, and going to do level 1 twice, level 2 once and level 3 twice each week (because I really hate level 2 🤣)

Just going to keep it going until we go on holiday in July, then might try something different when we get back

I feel that! Level 2 really is no fun!! Last day of it to go for me and I certainly won't miss it!!

I did level 1 this morning and was okay, didn't get too out of breath but still wasn't 'easy' and I worked up a sweat. Feel like I've ruined it a bit today as I'm eating a bit crappily again 😬

Breakfast - protein smoothie
Lunch - cocktail sausages and rice cakes
Dinner - prawn risotto (small portion at least)
Snacks - this afternoon I had 3 mini packs of fizzes and 3 little refresher bars and half a peanut butter and jam sandwich. When the kids are in bed I have a pack of vegan cookies I intend to have with a cup of tea. I know I could tell myself no, but I've been depriving myself of my favourites for a while so I really don't want to!! But still can't help feeling guilty like I'm wasting my hard work.

A day of a bit of crappy eating isn't a disaster and sticking with 30ds is definitely a positive move. Onwards to tomorrow is my motto

A good day yesterday but I’ve woken today with a cracking headache. Hopefully that goes quick. I’ve managed a lot of days with 10,000 steps in the past few days so will aim to continue that.

Final weigh in for me is 64.0kg, so no more loss unfortunately but I am happy it hasn't gone up at least.

I've lost just over a pound since I joined this group. It was going well with good gym sessions etc but I currently have COVID which means no gym and generally feeling a bit rubbish. Now I have the moral dilemma of what to do and whether I can go back before I test negative. I know the answer but just wonder how many others would still go!

I wouldn't go back to a gym if I was testing positive. I'm not sure how it could be justified really. In any case, it's not usually advised to do lots of workouts if you're unwell, and most weight loss is going to come from diet not exercise. I'd say rest up, get well, then go back with vigour when you're recovered.

Yesterday was not great, today I’m packing for a weekend away so I ate leftovers. I’m not hopeful for my final weigh in on Monday!

I'm struggling a lot today. Feeling really down and not making good choices. I'm due on my period so it's probably that but just feeling really disheartened, even though I KNOW I've done really well so far and keep telling myself that. Was meant to do 30ds today but couldn't get myself up early this morning to do it before dp left for work, was going to do it when kids had a nap but their timing was off so wasn't enough overlap. Think I'd feel better if I'd at least done that while not eating brilliantly.

Breakfast - nothing
Lunch - half a big packet of crisps with Marie Rose sauce to dip in, 2 packs of graze oat boosts
Dinner - no idea, everyone else is having pizza but I'm not a huge fan of the vegan pizzas so doesn't feel worth the calories. There's a chance I may end up just having some popcorn later..
Snacks - none so far (though lunch felt snack like) but might have some popcorn with a film later if the kids go to bed well enough for me to even have the time. Currently drinking a can of pina colada, but only have the one.

contaminate a bottle of water with animal faeces… how this would come about in an every day sense is a saga on its own, but possible. Leave said water for 1 week.

drink water… bad times will ensue (2 stone lost in 1 week in my case) campylobacter is the least fun I’ve ever had. But…. 2 stone!

😂 that would take me to goal for sure, though I don't think I'd feel good when I got there!

Doing well foodwise but not quite so well on the exercise. Still haven't done day 20 of 30ds!! Feeling a bit flat about it but I'm determined to do it tomorrow. I did get my first "oh you look like you've lost weight " yesterday so that was a motivator 💛

Not had the best week, so hovering steady at 203lb.

Refocusing today (again!) Found my shred video and starting that, already walked the woof for 20 minutes and put a load of washing in as doggo thinks 5:30 is a perfectly reasonable time to get up on a Saturday morning and I lost the argument.

Finish work in 28 days for the summer and determined to be under 196lb when that happens, plan is to eat clean low carb for the next month (just need my lovely kids to stop buying me chocolate and the pain in the arse kids to stop driving me to wine 🤣)

I think I'll keep your tips as plan b @Rav3 , hope you are feeling better and recover fully quickly. @SpicyNikNak fancy being shred buddies for the next ten days? I need the push!

Steps looking great! but for food & alcohol all I can say is that a new week will start on Monday.

If my weight maintains on Monday, I will be so lucky, but I’m thinking I could have put back on 2lbs. Fingers crossed!!

Day 2 of shred done. Used slightly heavier weights for some of the exercises this morning (biceps and chest ones on the floor). Having a bottle of water then taking the dog for a lovely walk.

Feel exhausted after but in a good way!

Food today will be ice cream (weekly treat) an omelette for brunch, trout with asparagus and green beans for dinner with some watermelon for dessert. Already on my second bottle of water, so keeping nicely hydrated today.

Oh and 1.4lb down on the scales this morning as yesterday was my strict fast day.

Really trying to get myself back in the swing of things! I don't know why my brain seems to think we can only handle short periods of sticking to things 😩

Trying to work within this, so I've just made myself a chart on the fridge (I had one for the 30 days of 30ds). 20 days, Monday to Friday 30 day shred alternating levels. Takes me up to w/e before holiday. Feeling much more down and lethargic on the days I don't exercise and I'll never understand why my brain resists doing something that makes me feel better 🤷‍♀️ hope everyone's having a nice weekend

Day 1 level 3 of 30ds done. Not sorry to see the back of level 2! Done alright foodwise so far. I'm finding MFP is really helping to keep me on track. Well done on day 2 @Glenthebattleostrich. Hope your chart helps @lairyfights9

I liked it better than level 2 (which isn't saying much). My knees struggle with anything with a jump in it so I had to adapt the last cardio move. I'm also still with Anita 😁

Good morning. Weighed this morning at 200.8lb. That's about 7.5lb down in a month and just over a stone in 6 weeks. Very happy with that.

Are we carrying on on here?
