So, summer in nearly upon us and I still haven't gotten into shape!
AIBU to ask some of you to join me in a 30 day challenge to strive towards being a little bit healthier?
My aim is to get up early every morning and do a 30 min walk/run and stick to a healthy diet.
I'm hoping we could all post a message every night/other night updating on our progress and being a support of sorts to each other to keep us focused on our long term goal.
Anyone up for it?

Scales turned up at the weekend. I need to link them to my phone and get weighed.

I'm thinking Wednesday mornings to weigh as I'm only weighing weekly.

11.7 this morning so 4lbs lost since we started 3 weeks ago.

I've also lost an inch and a half each from waist, under breasts and thighs 👍

Weighed the same as last week! Bit disappointed but I also got my period a week early so let’s blame it on that! I’ve still lost 5.5 pounds in three weeks and I can see it. Weekend away this week so I’ll aim for a pound off next week. Hope everyone has a good week.

Feeling really frustrated. I seem to have picked up a stomach bug which has stopped 30ds in it's tracks. I'm so close to completing level 2 and I just can't get there! On a plus note the stomach bug has also stopped any desire to eat so I've only had 300 cals all day. A big old 💙 today

Tell me your secrets!

It's nothing new I'm afraid ...

  • Logging every single morsel I consume
  • 2 litres of water a day
  • Minimal sugar / sweeteners
  • Upping my protein (aiming for 30g+ per meal)
  • Minimum 10,000 steps a day, ideally hitting 20,000
  • Lots of sleep!
  • 2 litres of water a day

Had a really bad few days food and exercise wise, so 1.4lb back on. Still 2lb lighter though and totally refocused yesterday. Let to many carbs slip in over the last week.

Yesterday's food was -
B - Greek yogurt with blueberries and seeds
L - peperamis, cheese and pork scratchings
D - prawn curry with edameme beans (Michael mosley recipe and absolutely delicious)
S - almonds and cheese.

17500 steps, 2l of water.

Have a hospital appointment today so will get a nice walk in to that, then DD is at the opticians tonight so some extra steps there. Food will be similar to yesterday with shredder slow cooker beef with green beans for dinner.

Today I’m going to be more @thesnailandthewhale ! I had a rubbish day yesterday and felt like I was never going to get to the weight I want. It’s not a crazy weight goal, it’s a healthy one. I’ve been that weight before and I was fit and able to do more things. I can do it, I just need to reset and aim to do the sensible things to keep going in the right direction.

I've not had a great food week either, had pizza yesterday due to someone's birthday and was a bit hungover on Saturday after a night out so didn't eat great then either. I haven't weighed yet but I'm not expecting to have lost anything this week. Still, onwards and upwards. Today will be a better day!

Grrr its not budging much - Week 3 just nudging under the 10st. I've stalled and am constipated so my morning breakfast is prunes and a pint of water. Will aim to move more as I'm so lazy and working from home.

I lost about 1lb this week, which should take me to 7 since I started, but it's actually 9lb off in total, so little bits of a lb must be adding up along the way. Am pleased but also weary as I have lots more to go and I'm now through the bit where it comes off more easily and into the bit where if I'm lucky it's a lb or so a week. Yes, I know it's better for you, it's just painful.

A better day today. Day 18 3DS done and still getting over the tummy bug so not eaten a lot. So many posters now seeing the scales moving down which is a great motivator.

Having a second rest day today, planning to do 30ds level 1 tomorrow. Not eaten brilliantly yesterday or today, but also not as bad as I often do so not feeling like I've completely fallen off the wagon! Helpful to post my food on here as I find it keeps me feeling accountable so I'll get back to that tomorrow.

😂 I'm not planning to do it all over again! 5 days a week instead of 7, and going to do level 1 twice, level 2 once and level 3 twice each week (because I really hate level 2 🤣)

Just going to keep it going until we go on holiday in July, then might try something different when we get back

Only managed 20 minute work out today, not through lack of trying, my hula hoop broke... can't order a new one until we get back so I probably won't work out for the next 2 days. My last weigh in will be Thursday.

💛because I couldn't finish my work out and feel bummed my hula hoop didn't last just 2.3 more days (I knew it was breaking but couldn't prevent it without taking my workouts really gentle which is pointless if you are trying to tone up).

Aww thank you, hopefully I can keep up the food control for the next couple days at least (I should really look for a workout to do on Youtube but also busy packing/getting us all ready so I am kind of glad it broke as I don't feel so guilty for not working out 😅).

We've lots of take-aways planned for while we're away so I reckon I'll be back to square one in a weeks time😂

I do 30 minutes a day (watch a video on youtube with subtitles because the inifinity loop I use is loud). I definitely think my belly feels a bit firmer and it's a bit more 'fun' of a workout for me. I have done up to 45/50 minutes before where I missed a session the day before and wanted to make up for it. It gets my heart beating a bit faster and I work up a little bit of a sweat so must be doing some good.

Had my gym routines set up yesterday with my PT and spoke to a nutrionist at lunchtime (luckily I have this option through work). Got a tape measure coming because he said that I'd lose inches before weight and not to worry. He did still tell me to weigh myself every 2/3 days as weight can fluctuate in a week.

Just weighed in, maintained this week as I expected. Had takeaway pizza and McDonald's last week. But had a healthier day today.
