Just that really, do you shower/bath daily as an adult that (not ill or has health conditions)

I am asking this as another thread, made me curious.

YIBU- I don't shower everyday, there is no need.
YANBU- I shower everyday as I like to be clean.

I can’t start the day without being fresh from top to bottom, including washing my hair.

Cathbrownlow · 14/04/2024 07:08

Twice a day.

Sunnnybunny72 · 14/04/2024 07:09

Twice a day

dancingwithpenguins · 14/04/2024 07:09

Most days (at least 5-6 days a week) but not every single day. I always shower on days I’ve been exercising, or if I’m going out somewhere or into the office. But if I am just doing the school run or WFH I might not.

Obviously I wash every day though!

Mylobsterteapot · 14/04/2024 07:09

No. My skin gets so dry and sore if I shower every day. That’s every other day, with a wash in between.

My flatmate showers twice a day. It annoys me, and sends our gas bill sky high. How dirty can you get in less than 12 hours in bed?!

Jifmicroliquid · 14/04/2024 07:09

Every day without fail. We have a farm, I would stink otherwise!

Twice a day.

Don't go over to my other thread, you will have your arse handed to you on a plate.

I don't understand how this is even a question. Yes. Without fail. Twice if I've been running.

I also don't understand why people would not shower/bath everyday, I was made out to be a monster because I did. Don't I know what I am doing to the planet!

Here we go...

Do you shower/bath everyday
polkadotpixie · 14/04/2024 07:16

Usually every other day unless it's hot. I get dry skin and eczema if I shower every day, even with hypoallergenic shower gel

So you have a health condition that stops you from doing so.

Yes. If I exercise or swim then twice a day though I do my best to keep it to once. I can't leave the house without a shower.

Imamumgetmeoutofhere · 14/04/2024 07:20

Yes. Every day. Sometimes when it's really warm I'll have two but will put my hair in a shower cap so it's quick.

Zanatdy · 14/04/2024 07:21

Every other day as it takes time to dry and straighten my hair. If it’s really hot then I will shower daily but otherwise I don’t

Tlolljs · 14/04/2024 07:21

I tend to have one a night though. Wash the day off. Don’t wash my hair every day though.

Rumples · 14/04/2024 07:23

Twice a day without fail - don't feel right if I don't.

Deardear17 · 14/04/2024 07:24

I work in an environment where I need to look presentable & I feel the need to shower and wash hair soon as I get in also because of environment and peri work with.
I also shower in the morning before work. I sweat at night.

Nanny31 · 14/04/2024 07:24

Everyday without fail

Brainded · 14/04/2024 07:29

Most days I have a bath, but not every day. I wash my hair 2-3 times a week

Shoxfordian · 14/04/2024 07:29

Everyday and I wash my hair every day as well

Natsku · 14/04/2024 07:30

Almost every day, I sometimes don't on a weekend day if I'm not going anywhere (but will on one of the weekend evenings when I sauna), but weekdays I have a cold shower first thing every day to wake me up

Addictforanex · 14/04/2024 07:30

same as PP above that says 5-6 a week, maybe not if working from home and not exercising.

Simonjt · 14/04/2024 07:31

At least one a day, not only do I exercise daily, but bodies sweat during the night a lot, its very easy to tell which colleagues have come in to work unclean.

spacehoppercommuter · 14/04/2024 07:31

Daily. I run most mornings and am in peri menopause and sweat a lot. I would feel and smell disgusting if I did not do this.
