To want every women in England to vote Tory at the GR

1000 replies

Hurrydash · 28/03/2024 02:01

So I don't agree with Angela Rayner's description of the Tories as scum, but I get her drift and if she'd been more tempered in her language I probably would have bought in.

HOWEVER

For me - and actually should be got everyone - the only real issue at the next GE is freedom of speech/women's rights.

I see Labour as the destroyer of these and so must vote against them. The only meaningful way to do this is to vote Tory which I am reluctant but prepared to do.

Is this unreasonable?

Happy to be convinced - for real not just words - if there is evidence Labour (Starmer 1 in 1000 women have a dick) may see the light before the GE.

If the Tories are the only ones who ' know what a women is' its only so they can fuck them over

Yabu

HappiestSleeping · 28/03/2024 02:07

If you could genuinely get every woman to vote the way you would like (putting aside your reason), other parties are available. Women represent enough of a proportion of the electorate to make a significant difference to the result.

The Conservative party have done enough damage, so it is unreasonable to vote them in again.

Trez1510 · 28/03/2024 02:10

YABU.

Pixit · 28/03/2024 02:11

You want another five years of ... THIS ??! <\gestures wildly at everything> No. Fuck off.

IsThisTheRealLifeOrIsItJustFantasy · 28/03/2024 02:13

YANBU. Labour are not on the side of women.

Margritte · 28/03/2024 02:14

The Tory party is NO friend of women. Any vote for the Tories is a vote against women.

I spent decades being respectful of other people's political opinions. Now? I judge the living FUCK out of anyone voting Tory these days.

They are an absolute disgrace, in every sense.

ButItHasCheese · 28/03/2024 02:14

Considering how much damage they've done to women already, through underfunding basically everything (not to mention their appalling take of 'pubs are ok to have crowds at but no birthing partners' during the pandemic

There's a special place in hell for these people. I would never ever vote for them (even based on a dog-whistle trans manifesto, which is grim in itself)

Popettypop · 28/03/2024 02:14

Tories are indeed scum

Pixit · 28/03/2024 02:15

Nobody is on the side of women and they never have been. But the country is in the absolute shitter under tories.

QueenOfTheEntireFuckingUniverse · 28/03/2024 02:15

No fucking way.

Nat6999 · 28/03/2024 02:16

There are far more pressing issues like the NHS, education, the economy, the welfare state, social care, if you are willing to accept that all these will get worse under the tories then vote away. I will be voting Labour.

LawrieForShepherdsBoy · 28/03/2024 02:16

Yawn

Margritte · 28/03/2024 02:17

For me - and actually should be got everyone - the only real issue at the next GE is freedom of speech/women's rights

To say this, then suggest voting Tory 'for women's rights and freedom of speech,' is absolutely laughable.

I don't believe anyone (real) can hold such a ridiculous POV, frankly.

Summerdew · 28/03/2024 02:17

YANBU, Labour have also said they won’t extend the childcare funding as nurseries don’t have the staff but haven’t put forward an alternative or realised that demand will create supply. Yet again policies that don’t support women. Heaven help our rights when Labour do get in.

stormywhethers321 · 28/03/2024 02:20

If the only thing the Tories can do for me is make vague noises about people who have penises using the same bathroom I do, then they can fuck right off. I have far more pressing concerns.

ilovesooty · 28/03/2024 02:21

I can't be bothered to respond to such an utterly ridiculous point of view.

Yup. Woman are most vulnerable when there is inequality. The greater the economic inequality, the more women suffer.

Shootin · 28/03/2024 02:24

Tories are SCUM!!

What absolute, total BS.

There's going to be so much of this utter crap on MN as we move towards the GE.

Probably. It's tedious but hardly likely to be taken seriously by most people or be at all likely to facilitate a Conservative victory.

keffie12 · 28/03/2024 02:31

@hurrydash I wouldn't vote Tory if my life depended on it. You must be in the elite class as I can't understand why anyone would vote for a further 5 years of this show

Haven't they done enough damage in the last 14 year's!

I am utterly flummoxed and bemused. Labour isn't perfect. No one is.

However, having watched my homeland being destroyed by a greedy, corrupt populist Tory (in name only government), I, for one, will be up all night cheering along as they lose their seats.

To quote ex Tory moderates "of Chris Patten (last minister to Hong Kong) and Ken Clarke "when there was a Tory party"

I agree. I just know how irritated I'll get as I get sucked into countless Tory-bot threads!

Then why have you responded?

OP posts:
AutumnCrow · 28/03/2024 02:34

The Tories gave us hardcore TWAW and TMAM believers Crispin Blunt and Penny Mordaunt, and damaging gender idiots like Theresa May, Amber Rudd, Nicky Morgan, Maria Miller and Caroline Nokes.

Rishi Sunak and Kemi Badenoch have stepped back from actually doing anything to clarify the law while they have the chance.

So vote for the Tory economic and social vulture? Nah, I don’t think so.

And Labour can fuck off as well, pissing away my rights instead of properly democratising women’s and children’s lives.

ilovesooty · 28/03/2024 02:34

Hurrydash · 28/03/2024 02:34

You know what I meant.
