Anyone else not put their tree up yet?

Seems most people have done theirs already, we are planning to do it this Sunday.

Yep we are doing it tomorrow. Though DH is off today so is going into the loft to get it all down

I'm doing mine the weekend before Christmas (not the 20th, the 14th). I like it up until after New year and it goes all crispy and brown if I put it up too soon.

Definitely not. Ours will go up some point after 15th.

No and I won’t until at least 15 December. I’m definitely old school. Feels too early now and I can’t live with it for that long.

Most people I should think. I haven't. It'll go up in mid December like always.
I don't know why the trend to have it up for weeks on end has taken off. We have a real tree, if we put it up now it would be like a brown stick come Christmas Day.

No way. Scandinavian and definitely not putting it up until about a week before Christmas, but only to appease DP and DC, anytime before 23rd feels too early for me.

I don't actually know anyone who has theirs up yet either. Seems totally premature. This is Advent but not quite Christmas: calendars and Advent candles for Sundays will do for now.

Ours’ would normally go up on the second weekend of December (and even then not without certain family members complaining about it being too early.) But we are having a dinner party on Saturday so we’ll get one today to put up in the drawing room, just with lights on for a bit of festive twinkle. The kids can then drape it in the usual glittery salt dough nursery makes, Dr Who themed baubles and treasures from our travels on Sunday,

No, we've got a real one (in a pot in the garden). It will come inside the weekend of the 16th/7th and go back on the 6th Jan. I don't want it drying out.

I think the very early decorations and lights etc seemed to take hold on the pandemic when people were fed up and bored

Ours is up already for the first time. Usually we put it up 12 days before. I have to say - I’m loving having it up so early 😳😅 The house feels so much cosier! Never thought I’d be that person 😂

DH left for work yesterday and won’t be home until 22nd and really wanted to share in the excitement of putting up the tree with young DC so we pulled it forward a bit this year 😊

And I think I’ll do it early from now on 🙈

Nope, will put it up this weekend. I adore how my house looks at Christmas, all decorated. Makes me feel happy, and warm but even I won't put it up before Dec and I don't know anyone who does (except that one crazy house on my estate whose house goes from halloween horror house to Christmas extravaganza overnight..I swear they have elves working for them)
