DH and his fucking chilli

DH smothers everything in chilli, even though he can’t handle spicy food himself. Everytime he makes chicken it’s smothered in chilli and ends up where neither of us can eat it. He does it every fucking time!!!

Tonight he decided to randomly make some roast potatoes as a snack 🫤 to said I didn’t want any and he got all l offended so I said if you make cheesy potatoes I’ll eat them … so that’s what he did. He’s spent over an hour and a half making these fucking things … they smelt nice, all covered in melted cheese - lovely! Except when I bit into one my mouth was suddenly on fire. Yep, he’s smothered then in chilli. We now have a full bowl of cheesy potatoes sat there that neither of us can eat. I ask why he does this and he doesn’t answer me! I think it’s so weird. It would be different if he loved spicy food but he can’t tolerate it any better than I can!

Order a delivery of non spicy, cheesy potatoes, (if possible.)

Throw the chili sauce in the bin

The food waste would drive me batty.

I wouldn't be eating anything he made. He sounds thick and quite odd. Why make something neither of you will eat?

Throw away the chilli powder so there isnt any for him to use

Remove all chilli items from the cupboards, if he buys more remove them. Oh and deny all knowledge of their whereabouts.

Bin the chilli and if he buys more bin it instantly. Keep binning it till he gets the message. He sounds thick as.

Is he a good cook? Like does he know the basics like tasting as you go. Could be as simple as that.

I never asked him to cook, he liked doing it - I just don’t understand why he ruins them everytime! I actually don’t like him to cook because of the chilli thing so everytime he cooks it’s because he’s insisted on cooking.

To be fair, at some point we all didn't eat spicy (when kids, etc) and then gradually some of us now do and even love it. So it can lead to something in time, you know...

I'm sure you're not finding it funny though, having lovely smelling and looking, however awful tasting snack...

Rub the chillis on the inside of his underpants. When he complains you can say you're following his lead and smothering everything in chilli.

He really doesn't sound normal, if he's deliberately sourcing red hot chillis to cover every dish when neither if you can tolerate it.
He's either dumb or unwell.

The potatoes might have worked with a pinch of Spanish smoked paprika, the hot kind, if he wants to add a kick to them.
