DH and his fucking chilli

DH smothers everything in chilli, even though he can’t handle spicy food himself. Everytime he makes chicken it’s smothered in chilli and ends up where neither of us can eat it. He does it every fucking time!!!

Tonight he decided to randomly make some roast potatoes as a snack 🫤 to said I didn’t want any and he got all l offended so I said if you make cheesy potatoes I’ll eat them … so that’s what he did. He’s spent over an hour and a half making these fucking things … they smelt nice, all covered in melted cheese - lovely! Except when I bit into one my mouth was suddenly on fire. Yep, he’s smothered then in chilli. We now have a full bowl of cheesy potatoes sat there that neither of us can eat. I ask why he does this and he doesn’t answer me! I think it’s so weird. It would be different if he loved spicy food but he can’t tolerate it any better than I can!

what a waste

He's a grown man, not a toddler. He understands the impact of his behaviour on the food budget. That doesn't need to be explained to him

Are you sure? Because he seems to believe that OP and he will eat this inedible food. So I’m as sure as you are about this at all.

Of course he doesn't believe it.
It's a mistake someone could make a maximum of two times if they forgot their first mistake, but he's out deliberately looking for scotch bonnets every time he shops.

Then he’s just bonkers! Who knows?

Il send you some Trinidad scorpions, next time you cook put an entire one in his food, and none in yours.

when his forehead bursts into flames just scoff your meal and pretend ignorance, mines only slightly hot….

then tell him you read on Facebook that if someone eats chilli too often they become allergic to it. Make up all sorts of horrible symptoms, include ones that effect his penis and see if the dumb fluke falls for it.

might put him off for a bit.

We were given 2 scotch bonnets at the weekend, grown in UK, so we weren’t sure how hot they would be. DH put a small piece, about 1/10 of a small one, into the sauce he was making this evening, leaving it whole. After 10 minutes he tasted the sauce, did a double take, and took the piece of scotch bonnet out again. The sauce was delicious and quite piquant. So this is my recommendation for how to use these chillis - with caution and respect.
