To be against the attacks on Palestine

Threemangoes · 11/10/2023 13:42

What happened in Israel was horrific by Hamas. But why are Palestinians being restricted, bombed, dehydrated and deprived of basic needs because of terrorists? Why is the world supporting Israel commiting war crimes?

Hamas are sick fucks to kill innocents. But it's like history repeating again. 9/11 caused millions of Iraqis killed for what?

Have we learned nothing from the past???

Eye for an eye makes the whole world blind 😞

MiddleagedBeachbum · 11/10/2023 14:04

Surely no one should support either side and any of the deaths or violence

Frontgarden · 11/10/2023 14:05

YANBU

it really made my blood run cold when all the world leaders came out saying ‘Israel has the right to defend itself’

Israel is the definition of a provocative victim here

NerrSnerr · 11/10/2023 14:07

Who are the people you are aiming this thread at? I don't know anyone who supports the attacks on Israel or the Palestines. Most people I know are certainly leaning towards supporting the Palestinians more (although condemn any of the attacks). I know a few Jewish people who obviously are concerned about the Israelis and have links to those who have died, they have all condemned the attacks on Palestine too.

IMustDoMoreExercise · 11/10/2023 14:09

The trouble is that the people in Israel want revenge and that is what the prime minister is going to give them.

Unfortunately, I think that that is going to play into the hands of Iran.

Israel with getting quite friendly with Saudi Arabia which worried Iran.

I really can't see other Muslim countries sitting back and seeing lots of Palestinians killed and doing nothing.

Coughingdodger · 11/10/2023 14:11

Indeed.

Some men attacked Israel so let’s bomb hundreds, if not thousands of children and destroy their homes, schools, food and water supplies and hospitals.

And cut off all their power and media...so for a few days no-one will know what exactly may be happening inside Gaza….

Why would they arrive here?

What about their neighbours, including Egypt with whom they share a border?

I have read threads on MN where people are justifying this attack on Palestine in the name of Hamas.
They agree with depriving Palestinians of food, water and power in order to stop them from attacking Israel. I want to cry!

I think if French terrorists came and murdered babies and elderly people in the uk it’s highly unlikely we’d respond by saying ‘oh we must make sure French utilities and services aren’t disrupted by our retaliation’.
Its a horrendous situation and the Israeli government are by no means blameless but after this massacre I think they had no viable option but to retaliate. To do nothing would pave the way for more massacres.

Coughingdodger · 11/10/2023 14:15

I don’t support Hamas and the perpetrators need to be found - not hard as apparently they’re all over social media - but the massively inflammatory rhetoric internationally is shocking. Let’s pray that rhetoric is mostly all it is and calmer voices on all sides will be heard as the days go on.

They would arrive here because their homes are bombed and we supported the attacks.

Just like the Syrians, afgans, Libyans, or any people who have lost their homes and families because UK supported and had a hand in their destruction.

Why do you think refugees and illegal immigrants come here?

Egypt has been threatened with aids/trucks getting bombed if tried to help.

I’m in Ireland, which tends to be pro-Palestinian and certainly don’t condone the bombardment of Palestine and the killing of civilians. At the same time, I doubt there are many countries in the world (and Israel certainly isn’t one of them) which would see 260 unarmed young people massacred at a festival, or children and elderly killed in cold blood, without a ferocious retaliation. The whole thing is a horrendous tragedy.

jadey1991 · 11/10/2023 14:21

I don't wanna sat to much on this but I'm with the Palestinians all the way...

Egypt needs two million Gazans like it needs a hole in its head. They're quite aware how much Lebanon's been destabilized by Palestinian forces.

Lovesacake · 11/10/2023 14:26

It’s one thing supporting innocent Palestinians, it’s another to support Hamas. Aside from murdering children, women and the elderly in Israel Hamas are also seriously oppressing their own people in Palestine. The routinely detain, torture and kills Palestinians for being gay, or being trans, or being intellectual, or being critical of Hamas. They have destroyed the democratic system, the justice system and will not tolerate any internal opposition. They are a brutal oppressor not a benevolent group of freedom fighters. So I would be exceptionally wary of anyone who supports them.

Bluetrue · 11/10/2023 14:27

There are no winners in war. The innocent civilians always pay the price. I am devastated as to the horrors going on right now in the Middle East. I pray for the innocent hostages being held by Hamas. I pray for the innocent Palestinians who have died and suffering with no water, food, electricity and medical supplies.

We are ONE race, the human race. How can anyone physically hurt/kill another human? The poor children, I shed tears for the children.

How can anyone know that children have and will be killed but justify it somehow? How can you justify innocent civilians and children being killed?

This is going on right now and you could fly there in under 5 hours. Its not far away. Think about it. Is that ok with you?

AmIAutumnalNow · 11/10/2023 14:28

But @GrumpyPanda the Palestinians are all innocent victims. Why would neighbouring countries not want to help them?

Goodadvice1980 · 11/10/2023 14:28

I think Israel is about to bomb Palestine into oblivion. The human suffering is heart breaking for everyone 😢

What passage/route do you think someone is Gaza would take to get to the UK?

You are just ranting and seem to actually know nothing
