Ruined weekend

Treated myself to a bottle of Prosecco last night, it turned out to be so sweet it was undrinkable. DH bought me a replacement today, clearly marked extra dry.

Its not only too sweet it has the flavour of cardboard.

The nail polish I ordered clashes with my top. Thinking of cancelling the night out. Wouldn't enjoy it.

Sometimes it's these small things we spend all week looking forward too that become the most disappointing when they fail!

I spent all week looking forward to the cooked breakfast I was making ds and I this morning - then I didn't quite get my fried eggs right.

I was NOT happy

It seems she didn't drink the first one.

Sadly they have gone down the drain, sweet wine has no place in my household!

I'm supposed to be camping with my Scout Group. I'm at home with covid instead and everything tastes odd....my favourite chicken curry tasted like turnips and the BBQ chicken strips I pinched from my kids tasted just like chicken with no hint of BBQ

Prosecco labelling isn't quite the same as wine when it comes to sweet and dry. Extra dry generally denotes sweet. If you're looking for a dry prosecco, you need a Brut.
