Ruined weekend

Treated myself to a bottle of Prosecco last night, it turned out to be so sweet it was undrinkable. DH bought me a replacement today, clearly marked extra dry.

Its not only too sweet it has the flavour of cardboard.

😭

Has anyone else had a similarity terrible weekend yet?

Ngl if the kids weren’t sound asleep in bed, I’d have considered leaving the house. It was awful. Just grateful we found that one today so I can sleep in my own bed tonight.

writing this and just heard a buzzing. And again. It had better be a fly or no sleeping in my room tonight either!

Next time use Just Eat to grab you a different bottle. I’d say that justifies their delivery costs 😝

If I happen to have a bottle of Prosecco that is too sweet, I make gin fizz with it. Lovely.

That's why I dislke Prosecco! Eiter too sweet or cardboard.
You need Champagne, comes in all sizes¬

Drove 50 miles to Elgin for the day, went to a lovely cafe we usually go to which does great cakes.
This time thought we'd stretch it to lunch too.
Both our meals were rubbish. Not just tasteless, but dry chicken, dry bun, and the salad had grit in it.
Exhausted and starving so probably why we didn't send it back.
