Ruined weekend

Treated myself to a bottle of Prosecco last night, it turned out to be so sweet it was undrinkable. DH bought me a replacement today, clearly marked extra dry.

Its not only too sweet it has the flavour of cardboard.

😭

Has anyone else had a similarity terrible weekend yet?

I haven't eaten today and I'm halfway through chugging 2 litres of colonscopy prep laxative stuff for first thing tomorrow morning. I'm also anaemic and I've been off the meds for it for a week ready for tomorrow and I'm knackered but can't sleep yet. Sorry about your crap prosecco, ironically before I went teatotal I preferred dry wines etc

And there was me thinking that having to be at work for 6 am today, tomorrow AND Monday was going to be the worst thing in this thread.

Been there. I hope the time till it's all over passes quickly.

But Cava, or go another couple of £ for Cremant.

I'm still sad my favourite curry place closed and it's been years! Do you think it's something you just don't get over?

I'd be mixing the prosecco to get the perfect blend.

Just paid for two DC’s gold DoE kit. Who knew just how expensive good hiking boots and waterproof coats and seemingly a thousand layers of clothing could be.
Little change from £1k 😥
It’ll be a quiet weekend 😄

I am reading a book I’ve been looking forward to but it’s a hardback and I am tired and now it feels too heavy. 🥲 it’s not weekend ruining as yet but I can’t find a good place to comfortably read it 😂

I do have a kindle but it’s not the same as pages….

I was in Costco yesterday and saw Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolies vineyard wine and got excited that it would be a beautiful French bottle of the good stuff but alas no, it’s rank, no taste whatsoever and I’m considering throwing the remainder away ( I should have guessed really being on sale in Costco) but I’m totally gutted and it’s ruined my weekend and I wasted £15.00 on one bottle of expensive shite plonk! I tried adding Lemonade to see if a spritzer would be better but nope, it’s worse! Now I’ve got a bottle of Peroni instead..
