Woman showing entire bum in public when bending over - what would you have done?

I was in the queue to pay in clothes shop today, standing behind a woman with her friend, both with babies in prams. It was outrageously hot and so she was wearing a short denim skirt that was pulled up high and a vest top. Obviously nothing wrong with that, however she bent over a few times to get things out of the basket under the pram and in doing do flashed her entire bum and thong. There were also mirrors to the side and behind us, so presumably this was also reflected to the entire shop. It was a proper full moon, not just a bit of bum cheek.

It didn’t seem as though she had noticed and her friend couldn’t see from her angle. I couldn’t help thinking that if I was in that scenario that I’d want to know. However I didn’t say anything because it’s none of my business and I didn’t want to embarrass her. Also maybe she knew and didn’t care 🤷🏻‍♀️

But, what would you have done/wanted someone else to do if you were in that situation? I do live up north in a place where strangers do talk to each other regularly FYI!

YABU - I should have quietly told her that her bum was exposed to the shop

I got home last week from goin shopping in town for essentials. I got home and changed into leggings to realise that my jeans had bloody split and it was definitely noticeable.
I of course felt absolutely mortified. I would have been grateful if someone had told me.
Ah well, a good hour in town and I was blissfully unaware 😂

This happened at work (not to me) when a rather portly lady bent over to get some files from a low shelf. Women colleagues were all laughing and teasing a man who, they said, was 'in the direct line of fire' and would need counselling. She never knew any of this.

I've seen plenty of women displaying what is called 'builder's cleavage' in men. Being a bit chubby doesn't help.

Many years ago, when I was about 13, I'm now 79, I was meeting a penfriend. We'd never met so I dressed nicely. As I walked to my underground people were smiling at me. I thought maybe I looked nice when a woman in passing said you've got a hanger hanging on the back of your coat ⁰love. Embarrassed isn't the word.
I've also got a headache 😫.

I would have told her, quietly and with kindness. Every woman I have ever told (very discreetly) has been really grateful, and I would be grateful, too, if someone were to let me know if I were in that situation, too.

I told a lady once that she had stickers all over the back of her jumper, she shouted at me “I Know” and was really horrible. Since then I’ve never told anyone. I would however tell someone if it was skirt tucked in knickers etc.

If someone's skirt was tucked in their knickers or they had flies undone, yes I would tell them.

But otherwise it really is not anyone else's business. We really should not try and police what others wear.

I'd have toddled home muttering to myself about the need for eye bleach. And that I'm impressed that she has confidence enough not to care what other people saw.
I get far more judgy about people who wear white linen trousers and dark coloured underwear.

There was a mum on the bus yesterday with a skintight cream dress on and everytime she bent over her pram I swear I could see her actual bumhole.

I didnt say anything because it isn't like she can get changed can she? Its different to something like a skirt caught in a bag which I have had people tell me before and I have been grateful.

Surprised so many people think she did it on purpose.

It happened to me in a dress before and I 100% didn’t know. I was bending over without thinking, on autopilot.

@BlibBlobBloo how is this shaming? Most of the posts in this (old) thread agree that she probably had an inkling that she knew she was on show.

She chose a very short skirt and a revealing pair of knickers. That’s a risk she chose to take.

Thirty years ago I would have strongly disapproved.
Twenty years ago I'd have told her quietly, or stood behind her so no-one could see.
Now...
I'd just smile and enjoy the spectacle. 😂

A few years ago I was wild swimming with my kids at a popular spot and saw this teenager, maybe 15, chatting with a large group of boys and girls. She'd just got out of the water and she was dripping wet with a tiny towel around her shoulders. Her entire arse was on show and I thought she'd forgotten to put her knickers on. I nearly said something as I was mortified for her - but luckily my kids told me all about the fashion for thongs. There was literally nothing but arse on show. Not a hint of material. But apparently the thng was there. This trend definitely demystified the arse. Also Showed my age.
