To think it’s already getting too hot…

I am already starting to get hot! I think after a long cold winter of blankets on and no heating, we are all used to much lower temperatures. I know we’ve not even hit the 20’s yet but honest to god, I’m sat at home with a fan on full right on me. No idea how I am going to survive when it gets any hotter. I hate the summer and am just thankful that our ‘warm’ period seems to be reduced this year as sometimes by now we’ve had blaring heat!

I'm in south London and we've got the heating on. There have only been two days so far when we've turned it off!

It was cloudy and not very warm this morning, then the sun finally came out and we had a BBQ and it was wonderful.

Maybe you're unwell. It's really not hot. And the winter hasn't been that cold.

Lovely and warm about 22c this afternoon in Glasgow, but it was chilly and overcast when I got up this morning.

People who are moaning about it being "too hot" when it's low 20s really do have something wrong with them.

Or they have a health condition. I'm allergic to heat, it's not fun
Yet even with that when I say it's too hot, people insist on telling me how lovely it is despite knowing I'm allergic to it

I’m in the East Midlands and it’s only been 14 today. The heating has come on in the house even though it’s set low. We went to the County show and my daughter had to buy a jumper as she was so cold.
I wish the sun would come here!

I think we're all different obviously, and I'm not allergic but really cannot cope with the cold. Seriously, I can't. I suffer in the cold. And I don't get anyone saying it's lovely it is!

I hear you. Utterly sick of this cold, grey, miserable weather. It feels like spring still hasn’t arrived and it’s so depressing. Am in East London and despite promises (lies) of 19 degrees today, it’s not got above 15. Cold wind too. I am back in my winter socks and thick jumper and I am Officially Fed Up.

I am more nervous about the weather forecast, which is showing no rain at all for the next two weeks. We are on a private water supply and i really do not want a repeat of last year when we had no water in the house and the troughs ran dry so the animals couldn't drink.

We've had a few warm days so far and I have to say I found it really hot in the sun and I love Summer. Maybe it is we're so used to not being able to put the heating on and being freezing cold!

I'm in London and put the heating on for 35 mins this evening as my house is so cold with a damp chill.
Was supposed to be 20 degrees today. I don't think it got above 12.

Not sure planet what you lot are living on telling me to fuck off. How bloody rude just because our bodies react differently to warmer weather.

I am boiling and trying to stay cool. It is in the 20’s now and that’s what many consider to be warm weather, so not sure where this horrible language has come from.

Where do you live? I feel you may have an issue with your internal thermostat! It’s still chilly here in SE

It's been so cold and grey here (Suffolk) I've had my massive hoody on all day. I love hot weather, and sunshine.

Struggled to get to 12 degrees, particularly irritating as it was predicted to be sunny .

You are fine to hope for whatever climate suits you best Op, but to be feeling hot enough to require a fan at 20 degrees is somewhat unusual I'd say.

I agree OP, I hate the heat and it's far too hot already. I've had the air conditioners on several days in a row, especially at night as I can't sleep.
From now onwards I will be waiting for winter to come again. I'd prefer summer to stay at 10 degrees C and mostly dull in my ideal world.....
