I feel sick watching king charles

I don't want him as king. I feel sick watching a bit of the coronation this morning. I just caught a bit of it and I felt ill.

We are not subjects. It's 2023.
I don't want to be like an animal with an owner
I don't like the man. He has had so many scandals and bad friends. Why should he be allowed to rule over us.
This stuff shouldn't be going on in 2023.

Anyone think the same?

How is it any different to the last several centuries of having rulers? He's just the next in a long line. I'm not a fan and I'm not interested in watching but I certainly don't feel 'sick' about it.

A bit dramatic. I don't think we should have a monarch at all, but Charles doesn't make me feel sick Confused. And he doesn't have any direct effect on my life. Why would his coronation make me feel like an animal with an owner?! Btw which particular 'scandals and bad friends' are you referring to?

I can understand this. It’s like every moral fibre of you disagrees vehemently with the whole thing. I can understand how it could make you feel sick. I started to feel similar last year.

I agree op, which is why I’m not watching the shit show, lol. The money being spent is obscene and it’s painful to me to think what the country could meaningfully do with it, but I can stop it, so just going to ignore it.

Their deal the media, is the only thing that keeps them relevant.

I think with the money it’s cost it is in bad taste as we are going through a cost of living crisis and some people can’t even afford to put food on the table. None of it should be funded by taxpayers money.

I think you need to put it into perspective - does it really affect you that much day to day? You may not like the monarchy, many don't - but to be that emotionally affected is a bit much. You could join an group campaigning for the UK to become a Republic - put your energy into something more useful.

I don't like my countries leaders one bit, I find them arrogant shits who I resent for their selfish policies, but they don't make me feel sick, and I accept that even though I didn't vote for them, I can't change it by being annoyed.

I don't understand how you have allowed it to impact your life to the extent where seeing a snippet on the telly made you feel actually sick.

I didn't even realise it was today, thought it was tomorrow as that is when our road is doing a party (weather Im now guessing). I don't know anything about it or care either way. I will probably look at the pics of the hats later, they always amuse me.

Just switch it off if if you're so bothered and remember, just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right.

I literally couldn’t care less. It has no effect on my life whatsoever. I certainly do not feel ruled over or owned, why do you feel that way?
I quite like watching all the theatrics and how old fashioned it all is but I don’t care about Charles one way or the other.

It's not like the money is going into a black hole though is it, its largely peoples wages- I'm sure they're welcoming of the overtime or whatever as most are working class. Given the ridiculous mismanagement of the government of public funds I can't get too worked up about it really, that's the real issue.
