I feel sick watching king charles

I don't want him as king. I feel sick watching a bit of the coronation this morning. I just caught a bit of it and I felt ill.

We are not subjects. It's 2023.
I don't want to be like an animal with an owner
I don't like the man. He has had so many scandals and bad friends. Why should he be allowed to rule over us.
This stuff shouldn't be going on in 2023.

Anyone think the same?

If your a citizen of the uk he is your king whether you like it or not

But what does "your king" actually mean? It's a meaningless phrase. He might hold the title of king in this country, but he is nobody's "ruler". He has no power over anyone.

Lots of people who aren't interested, aren't watching it. Why would you watch something that made you sick ?

The Queen gave up a lot to be Queen, he will follow this example. Yes, they have the ultimate privileges, but you'll also see a lot of people who would not give up their life for it, as it really must be tiring.

The people in the royal family don't bring the tourists to the UK. The history of the palaces, jewels, trappings etc do. They've all learned about Henry VIII in school and want to see a bit of that. No-one is seriously coming because they are hoping to see anything of Charles or his family.

Yes they are, those guests in westminster abbey have come to see charles. whilst they are here they will buy food, visit attractions etc. ie they will do touristy stuff and spend money.

No-one, really? I think you might be wrong there, given that there are people from the country I live in who have gone to the UK specifically because of the coronation.

Turning it off doesn't change the fact it's happening. Not sure why people keep suggesting that.

It doesn't make me feel sick though, just furious.
