AIBU?
Randoms using my wheelie bin for their dog shit!
dogpoobin · 17/03/2023 08:39
I'm fuming. Put my wheelie bin at the top of my driveway last night for collection today, it's fairly full so the top is slightly open. Just went out this morning (it hasn't been emptied yet) and noticed someone has placed two bags full of dog shit in my bin on top of my rubbish bags! AIBU or is this absolutely disgusting? I don't have a dog and I don't want dog shit in my bin.
Paq · 17/03/2023 08:41
I couldn't get worked up about this. It's a bin. Presumably it's going to be emptied soon. The poop is not on the street to be stepped in.
Theoldwoman · 17/03/2023 08:42
That’s what a bin is for. It wouldn’t worry me in the slightest. I would just be glad they are binning it rather than leave it in the ground.

No that was last week! Some random dog shit at the top of my drive that someone hadn't picked up. Probably the same disgusting person.
dogpoobin · 17/03/2023 08:43
Oh right, I see it ok. In that case I'll start popping my baby's pooey nappies in random peoples bins 👍🏻
MzHz · 17/03/2023 08:44
It’s a bin. It’ll be emptied shortly, this rubbish and the shit will be gone. It’s not like it’s going to sit there all week.
R0ckets · 17/03/2023 08:44
Wouldn't even cross my mind to be pissed off about this. The shit is bagged and your bin is about to be emptied you'd be none the wiser if you'd not gone to the bin I don't understand at all why you're so angry about it.
MrsBunnyEars · 17/03/2023 08:44
Wouldn’t bother me either. It’s a bin full of rubbish, not your kitchen worktop.
oioimatey · 17/03/2023 08:44
I for one think it's disgusting. Use a dog poo bin, or your own bin, not somebody else's. Just like I'd never put my own rubbish in someone else's wheelie bin.

Thank you!
twoandcooplease · 17/03/2023 08:45
It would bother me. I pay £17.42 every 4 weeks for my bins to be cleaned so that'd really piss me off

Yes but it's my bin, full of my rubbish. It's not a public bin nor is it a dog poo bin!
MzHz · 17/03/2023 08:46
If you happened to have a poo nappy and were walking past a bin, yea of course could pop it in a random bin awaiting the bin men.
GandhiDeclaredWarOnYou · 17/03/2023 08:46
It’s a bin that’s about to be emptied. Who cares? 🤷🏻♀️

I mean, if you are out with your kid then yes, you can dispose of a nappy in a bin you don't own.
It would be a bit weird if you left your house with used nappies...

The bin isn't smeared in dog shit, the 2 bags of dog poo are not making it any more dirty.
Dotjones · 17/03/2023 08:47
It's not acceptable. Put your dog's shit in your own bin or find a public one. I have a fantasy where all the people who say "it's fine" wake up to find their wheelie bin full of other people's dog shit because some fluke made every dog walker happen to pick the same one.
Mamamia7962 · 17/03/2023 08:47
twoandcooplease - £17.42 every four weeks, that's a very precise figure and expensive. How many bins do you have cleaned?
TidyDancer · 17/03/2023 08:47
What specifically bothers you about this? If they were putting it through your letterbox then fair enough but it's a bin and it's about to be emptied anyway so I'm not really seeing why it's that big of a deal.

Right ok. I bet if I started a thread AIBU to leave my baby's nappy in a random wheelie bin? There'd be a resounding yabu that's disgusting!

More fool you then. What a waste of money.
OoooohMatron · 17/03/2023 08:48
That's nothing OP, we have people put shit bags in ours AFTER it's been emptied and before we've had chance to pull it back up the drive. DH has had to fish out poo bags several times, otherwise they would be there festering for 2 weeks and likely split with other bags being chucked on top. I'm just looking forward to the day DH catches someone in the act because it won't be pretty!
MzHz · 17/03/2023 08:48
Dog poo goes in the usual bin. Public bin in a park, or your refuse bin.
you’re being a bit silly getting worked up about it, at least it’s dealt with and not on your drive to step in
dogpoobin · 17/03/2023 08:49
@Paq
I'd dispose of my child's nappy in a public bin intended for that purpose. Not someone's personal outside their fucking property ffs.
