AIBU?
Weird things my body does....
IfYoureGonnaBreakMyHeart · 17/03/2023 07:59
Over the past few weeks I've started using a brush to apply powder to my face after foundation. Before I'd just use the pad that comes with the compact.
For some reason using the brush directly in the middle of my forehead creates a reaction that feels like pins being dragged down my head.
I remembered that I had a similar reaction when I had a facial last year that involves brushing something onto my skin.
Also when I eat anything super minty it makes my ears itch.
Anyone else's body do weird things?

There was a brilliant thread along these lines years ago, but I cant find it now.
If I push my tongue to the roof of my mouth I get a knumb spot on the top of my right thigh.
My mum gets a stiff neck if she has even a sip of port, but not wine or sherry.
An unexpected loud noise makes my husband have a sneezing attack.

Oh I'll have a look. My fav old thread was called something like 'weird things your body has produced!'
I love yours. It's so odd that you get a numb spot, your mum has a stiff neck and your husband sneezes when shocked! All very strange reactions to different things. Humans are freaky!

Javelin arse during my period sometimes. No idea what causes it.
Apparently, I am not alone.

Eating bananas used to cause a weird sensation in the little soft spots just behind the lobes of my ears.
Since having Covid, my ears pop quite a bit.
If I press my tongue against certain areas of my mouth, my head starts to hurt. But once I move my tongue away, my head stops hurting.
The human body is a weird old thing! 😆😆

Chenford -- javelin arse, that's a somewhat accurate description!! 🤪
I used to get the feeling like I was carrying weights in/from my vagina when on my periods! Luckily, I don't get those anymore!
Ringmaster27 · 17/03/2023 08:16
My jaw pops really loudly at random points throughout the day.
Don’t even have to move it a certain way or do a really big yawn or anything like that - it just does it at random 🤷🏻♀️

I have one tiny area on my back where I had an epidural that when touched causes agonising pain, it's been ten years! On a lighter note, I can't go to hairdressers, beauticians, spas or anything like that because if anyone touches me, I fall asleep almost immediately and it's humiliating.

Whenever I drink two bottles of wine, my head hurts.

Oooh yes. Not so much anymore but in my teens and twenties...it felt like I wanted to poo my backbone out my bum too. My sympathies

I cannot move my big and middle toes independently. They move together.
Sapphire387 · 17/03/2023 08:28
If I press a particular part of my neck on right hand side, I can also feel the pressing on the left hand side, as though I also have my finger there.
It's been like this for many, many years and I have never known why.
Todaynotalways · 17/03/2023 08:30
I never have little-toe nails for more than a few weeks. I think the nail bed is weak, plus I have those stupid fin-like little toes. So they grow, then at some point fall off.
Usually I don't even notice.
Laiste · 17/03/2023 08:34
Even a few sips of red wine makes my arms and shoulders really hurt (i don't like wine so doesn't affect my life much!)
Mint sweets makes me sneeze violently the minute i put them in my mouth. (i have been know to fire said mint straight out)
If i or anyone else touches anywhere near my belly button it tingles/tickles right up in my throat and can make me heave.
Yiayoula · 17/03/2023 08:35
Chocolate makes my husband sneeze ( all the more for me, then …. ).
Weirdly, FIL has the same problem , but DS hasn’t .
Guess my chocolate- addicted genes must have diluted the weirdness so it wasn’t handed on to him ! 🤣

Loving all these. So many random things happening.
I've just remembered that sometimes when I eat I eject a stream of saliva from the back of my throat to the front. That one's gross!

@Laiste my ds is the same with mint flavoured anything! He sneezes brushing his teeth!
Seeleyboo · 17/03/2023 08:47
If I eat ham sandwiches with too much butter my mouth tickles.

If I rub the roof of my mouth with my tongue, I need to wee.
Using my moon cup (inserting/taking out) I sometimes get a sharp pain on the inside of my upper right arm.
ploopypleepy · 17/03/2023 08:58
When someone or something makes me jump, I get stabbing pains and really itchy armpits 😂😂😂
