Weird things my body does....

Over the past few weeks I've started using a brush to apply powder to my face after foundation. Before I'd just use the pad that comes with the compact.
For some reason using the brush directly in the middle of my forehead creates a reaction that feels like pins being dragged down my head.
I remembered that I had a similar reaction when I had a facial last year that involves brushing something onto my skin.
Also when I eat anything super minty it makes my ears itch.
Anyone else's body do weird things?

Perfect! That will do me for later when I'm home alone for an hour!

Knorr used to do a noodle pot, micro noodles. I would always make them up with boiling water rather than microwave them.
First mouthful of them would make me sneeze. Every time.

If I rub the roof of my mouth with my tongue, I need to wee.
Using my moon cup (inserting/taking out) I sometimes get a sharp pain on the inside of my upper right arm.

Rubbing the roof of my mouth with my tongue makes me sneeze!

As a child I had an outie bellybutton (which went in as I grew up). On the end of it was a little spot which, if I touched or rubbed it, sent a shooting sensation down towards my vagina.

Caledoniablue · 17/03/2023 09:01

Not me but when dh drinks red wine the first glass sends him into a violent sneezing fit. Eyes streaming face red the lot. Doesn't happen with white or rose though.

SurvivingNotThriving · 17/03/2023 09:04

If I eat a sandwich too fast, one of my eyeballs hurts. No other foods, just sandwiches.

Whendovescry03 · 17/03/2023 09:11

If my hair is a bit knotty when I brush it, such as after I've washed it, it makes me sneeze.

mackerelskymackerelsky · 17/03/2023 09:18

I sneeze when I look at the sun
In early evening if the light is right, one of my pupils will dilate more than the other (I have had this checked, it's nothing serious)
If someone strokes my forehead it makes my face scrunch up! But only once, if it happens again I'm fine
The top of my big toe- where toe hair grows- on my right foot is completely numb

JanesSadLittleLife · 17/03/2023 09:35

Of I see a video of people falling or getting hurt, I get a heavy "punch" sensation in my groin at the moment of impact.

If I pass a tricky (hard/dry) poo, I get an itchy pain in my hip.

I get red angry hives when I have a warm bath/shower, any persistent pressure is applied to my skin e.g a jacuzzi jet and randomly when I exercise.

Since having a baby if I sleep on my back my arms and two fingers go numb and it lasts a few hours after getting up.

I randomly get an asthmatic type reaction a few times a year with no obvious trigger, my favourite was when I felt like my throat was closing up in the hairdressers during covid and I had a massive coughing fit..everyone looked at me like I had the plague.

princesssparklepants · 17/03/2023 09:43

If I go shopping - say a day at big shopping centre after an hour or I get the most uncomfortable pain in my left shoulder.

I don't get it any other time, I've spent days walking around theme parks etc and never get the pain. Only when shopping.

I think it's my bodies way of saying I've spent to much money and need to go home!

WalterWitty · 17/03/2023 09:52

if I get something in my eye is makes a really loud noise in my ears, does anyone else get this as I thought everyone did until I mentioned it to my family 😅

there is also a small section of my back to the side, that when touched by someone else makes me flinch. It’s as if that’s where all my nerve endings are…

BananaSpanner · 17/03/2023 09:59

Getting my eyebrows threaded or waxed makes me have massive sneezing fits. It’s definitely re sensation rather than stray hairs.

Sometimes I have to scratch the back of my throat to resolve an itch inside my ear.

dworky · 17/03/2023 10:00

These are funny.
I have an area that when I scratch, I feel elsewhere. I also have a strange reaction when viewing people getting physically hurt. The back of my thighs, just below the buttocks, not exactly spasms but a weird pins & needles sensation.

SweetMeadow · 17/03/2023 10:04

When breastfeeding, a hard lump develops under my right armpit and if I squeeze it, breast milk sprays out or if I leave it, it will just start leaking out. I do love the feeling and watching it first thing in the morning!

MrsMoastyToasty · 17/03/2023 10:05

If I eat a hob nob biscuit I get an itchy feeling in my mouth and throat. It doesn't happen when I eat anything else and Im not coeliac.

CarpetSlipper · 17/03/2023 10:08

I also get the shopping shoulder pain and it’s my left too. Sometimes this is accompanied by my fingers feeling fat. It only ever happens when walking around shopping. My dad once mentioned he gets it too. I can only think that maybe my left arm just hangs? Perhaps when not shopping I move it more.

This is called cholinergic urticaria and you should see your GP if you haven't already...the reaction at the hairdressers was probably part of it.
I had a type of urticaria that was similar and had to carry an epipen just in case xx

instantpotnoodle · 17/03/2023 10:17

When I eat a tuna mayo sandwich I get instant hiccups.

emmylousings · 17/03/2023 10:19

Cleaning ears out with cotton buds (yes I know your not supposed to), always makes me sneeze. Can't understand why.

shreddednips · 17/03/2023 10:20

Holding something between my front teeth (like a pencil for example) for more than a couple of seconds makes me vomit, even if it barely goes inside my mouth. And I get random sensations every now and then that someone has suddenly clapped a hand down hard on my shoulder- it makes me jump! As in, literally that I've been grabbed. I thought it was ghosts as a teenager but I assume it's some kind of weird muscle spasm, it's terrifying!

JeepersCreeperrs · 17/03/2023 10:24

I don’t get butterflies if I’m nervous. I get a tingly bum 😂

BucketofTeaMassiveCake · 17/03/2023 10:28

I can raise my right eyebrow by itself but if I want to lift my left I have to lift them both together.

I cannot spit, click my fingers, or whistle.

Skullduggeryfizz · 17/03/2023 10:30

When I get physically tired, I always get earache in my right ear.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 17/03/2023 10:33

My eyebrow hair grows faster after drinking alcohol.
