Weird things my body does....

Over the past few weeks I've started using a brush to apply powder to my face after foundation. Before I'd just use the pad that comes with the compact.
For some reason using the brush directly in the middle of my forehead creates a reaction that feels like pins being dragged down my head.
I remembered that I had a similar reaction when I had a facial last year that involves brushing something onto my skin.
Also when I eat anything super minty it makes my ears itch.
Anyone else's body do weird things?

If I eat a hob nob biscuit I get an itchy feeling in my mouth and throat. It doesn't happen when I eat anything else and Im not coeliac.

It might be an allergy. I have nut allergy and my first indication is an itchy mouth as soon as the food is in my mouth.

I scratch the back of my throat with my tongue to relieve an itch right inside my ear.

I sneeze a lot when getting my eyebrows waxed or plucked.

Waxing my lower leg makes my left leg jerk, even if they’re waxing the right leg

I can’t poke my tummy button as it gives me a pain in my vagina

sometimes when I open my mouth a shot of saliva shoots out

sometime get a small lump under my tongue with a black head to it, when it pops it releases a load of saliva. I guessing a saliva gland blockage, but there is no stone

Often get an itch on my lower leg which can only be relieved by scratching my thigh

People are weird 🤣

If someone either tells me, or I see something really painful happen to them; think stubbing of toe, or knocking shins, I get a tingling feeling in the back of my calves!

JoanThursday · 17/03/2023 10:37

When I have a cold, I have to close my right eye when I blow my nose. If I don't, fluid spurts out. Been that way since I had a string of sinus infections about 20 years ago.

MrsMoastyToasty · 17/03/2023 10:38

@Twospaniels definitely not a nut allergy. I can eat all types of nut as well as wheat and oat products.

Ratonastick · 17/03/2023 10:38

I have an old chicken pox scar at the right hand bottom of my rib cage. When I scratch it, my left elbow itches. Bloody peculiar.

Javelin arse during my period sometimes. No idea what causes it.

Apparently, I am not alone.

just a heads up this could be endometriosis. Worth getting checked out especially if you have any other symptoms

SnaccidentsHappen · 17/03/2023 10:47

First bite of anything I eat I get a weird tingly slightly painful sensation in my jaw, where it hinges

JonSnowedUnder · 17/03/2023 10:50

If my husband touches my nipple I get an itchy mouth and tounge, very weird. Didn't get it while breastfeeding or before but it's uncomfortably itchy so DH is banned from any nipple touching!

Pjsandpringles · 17/03/2023 10:51

When I've eaten enough I sneeze.

Mabelface · 17/03/2023 10:52

Brushing my teeth makes me want to wee.

My left hip slightly dislocates for no reason, apart from my being hypermobile. Takes several months of physio to persuade it back in.

Cheesewiz · 17/03/2023 10:54

I sneeze when I have mint chewing gum, other mint flavoured stuff I'm fine with.
I get insanely itchy boobs on my period

If I eat a lot of cheddar my eyelids get sweaty Confused

Yes!! Only with me, if I eat cheddar it's my nose that gets all sweaty 😀

Cheesewiz · 17/03/2023 10:55

Oh and I get sweaty eyelids if I eat anything spicy, don't sweat anywhere else though 😂

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 17/03/2023 10:57

Whenever I eat chocolate, I break out in fat 😂

Chenford · 17/03/2023 10:58

Thanks, @dinmin - that's the first time I've heard that so I looked up symptoms and (thankfully) don't have any others.

Appreciate you mentioning it Flowers

I get a strange sensation under the skin on my shoulder blade/back, a few times a month. It feels like there is something inside moving up and down then it stops...until next time.

Angebot · 17/03/2023 10:59

Eating kiwis make my.lips swell up. Obv an allergic reaction and I have full lips anyways .
Really cold water hurts the roof of my mouth.
Putting my finger in my belly bottom tickles my privates (it's nice lol).

HamzasHairnet · 17/03/2023 11:01

The fingers of my right hand sometimes tingle when I wee.

LakieLady · 17/03/2023 11:03

When I used to get migraines regularly, the ring and little fingers on my right hand felt numb and tingly whenever I had a migraine.

I rarely get migraines now, but I still get tingling in those 2 fingers sometimes. It tends to happen a lot for a few days, then not happen again for months.

peachgreen · 17/03/2023 11:04

I have connected "spots" on my body, where if one hurts or itches, the other does too. Think, like, the back of my shoulder and the inside of my left knee, or behind my right ear and my left hip.

When I eat cake with lots of icing, I get an itchy/tingly back of throat. I can eat all the separate ingredients fine, but something about the combination gives me that reaction.

Rebel2 · 17/03/2023 11:06

TeaAndTwoSugars · 17/03/2023 09:43

I get red angry hives when I have a warm bath/shower, any persistent pressure is applied to my skin e.g a jacuzzi jet and randomly when I exercise.

Since having a baby if I sleep on my back my arms and two fingers go numb and it lasts a few hours after getting up.

I randomly get an asthmatic type reaction a few times a year with no obvious trigger, my favourite was when I felt like my throat was closing up in the hairdressers during covid and I had a massive coughing fit..everyone looked at me like I had the plague.

Cholinergic urticaria
I have a severe version of it induced by heat and sweat

Nicetoseeyou1980 · 17/03/2023 11:08

If something happens that scare me (as in a near miss etc) I get this weird sensation in my arms and hand almost like pins and needles.

thehappyhaggis · 17/03/2023 11:09

I always get the hiccups eating mash potatoes. Never any other kind.

I also can't burp. I maybe burp about 5:6 times per year.

TerrorAustralis · 17/03/2023 11:18

When I eat salt and vinegar crisps, I can feel oil coming out of the pores across my nose and cheeks.

I sometimes get pruney finger tips (like you get when you’ve been in water for a long time) when my hands have been completely dry.

DH gets the sneezing with chocolate/red wine thing.

StEtienne93 · 17/03/2023 11:20

If I put a finger in my belly button and wiggle it around I get tingles in my lady parts.
