Weird things my body does....

Over the past few weeks I've started using a brush to apply powder to my face after foundation. Before I'd just use the pad that comes with the compact.
For some reason using the brush directly in the middle of my forehead creates a reaction that feels like pins being dragged down my head.
I remembered that I had a similar reaction when I had a facial last year that involves brushing something onto my skin.
Also when I eat anything super minty it makes my ears itch.
Anyone else's body do weird things?

Oh another I forgot - geographic tongue! If I eat anything even mildly acidic (e.g. grapes) my tongue breaks out in patches of white and bright red. It doesn't really hurt but does make me more sensitive to acidic/spicy foods during a flare-up.

I've had it since childhood but didn't know it had a name until I happened to go to the dentist a day after having pineapple. That caused a really severe outbreak!

If I drop something unexpectedly, my bottom
lip quivers. So weird!

Oh god this actually happens to me too. I never clicked that it was a thing until you said it!

Forgot to mention the family mole! My grandmother, father and one of my three siblings all have a large mole in exactly the same spot on our backs. I was kinda gutted neither of my daughters inherited it!

DH has all kinds of odd stuff going on, including a tongue tie so severe he cannot stick his tongue out at all.bit just barely protrudes beyond his lips. It apparently did not affect his feeding when he was a baby.

Dh and I have a birth mark in the same place. We also both have a scar in the same place from the same accident!

When I pluck my chin hairs (!) there’s one particular spot that when touched makes just my left ear REALLY itchy.

Soniqueboom · 17/03/2023 17:21

I get that weird thing (think it's to do with the salivary glands) where my teeth/jaw really hurt if I drink alcohol Sad And when I was a child if I coughed a certain way (can't describe it better than that, it had to just 'catch' me the right way) I would get a big red patch on my side at around waist level which would get really hot and itchy. It didn't last, would fade within half an hour and was definitely triggered by a certain 'tone' of cough, still happens very occasionally but nowhere near as badly, very weird Confused

IDontWantToBeAPie · 17/03/2023 17:25

If I bite too quickly my jaw completely freezes

BucketofTeaMassiveCake · 17/03/2023 17:27

Well, comingoutofmycageillbedoingjustfine I'm not sure that I do, not properly anyway. I just open my mouth and let it out and probably swallow some too. My dentist is aware but can't offer any explanation as to why .

impressivelycunty · 17/03/2023 17:33

Every time I have a pedicure, when my right foot is massaged I get a buzzing tingly sensation in my upper left teeth.

666roses · 17/03/2023 17:37

I sometimes pass out when I have a poo

OnlyFannys · 17/03/2023 17:40

I can pop and unpop my ears (including doing just one or the other if I fancy it). I assumed everyone did this until very recently when my boyfriend said that no, that was weird. Would actually be interested to know if this is normal or just a weird "me" thing

I get that from red wine, beer and certain foods. Luckily it doesn't persist through the night though

When I drink alcohol, both my thighs ache. Only after the first drink. Fine after that. So, so weird.

Ooh yea I get the “ache” too! Never met anyone that’s gets it 🤣

DiddlySquat52 · 17/03/2023 18:50

I hiccup after the first sip of a cold, fizzy drink. Any subsequent sips are fine.

So this is like weird body bingo! Mine is like a reverse burp!

When I pee I always tickle the bottom of my back just to get a bit more pee out. Works every time.

Always sneeze if I tug my hair. And if I do get a tug, I always get a random ache in some other area of my body.

Daisydreaming1 · 17/03/2023 19:00

When I drink any alcohol my chest hurts like a sharp pain and my skin goes red and blotchy… so I don’t drink 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 I also have this spot on my back that if I itch I need to wee

inigomontoyahwillcox · 17/03/2023 19:04
  • Eating bananas makes my nose itch almost immediately
  • I can twist my thumb around 180 degrees
  • If I poke my finger into my tummy button I can feel a kind of "pinch" in my vagina (yes, seriously!)
  • Within about 5 minutes of consuming any alcohol I get a dull warm ache along the tops of my thighs that last about a minute
inigomontoyahwillcox · 17/03/2023 19:06

I just thought I'd see if anyone had written any of the same as mine and find I have 2 booze thigh-ache companions! @Jazzy21 @TJ17 !

ComeTheFckOnBridget · 17/03/2023 19:07

If I eat strong salt & vinegar crisps my face gets a bit sweaty Confused

Poppins2016 · 17/03/2023 19:18

If my neck is stroked very lightly, my lower back tingles (almost as though someone is stroking/tickling me there).

Lots of people mentioned javelin arse (I get it too). There's actually a name for it, proctalgia fugax and it's caused by hormones.

Chocolate makes my husband sneeze ( all the more for me, then …. ).
Weirdly, FIL has the same problem , but DS hasn’t .
Guess my chocolate- addicted genes must have diluted the weirdness so it wasn’t handed on to him ! 🤣

Apparently sneezing when eating dark chocolate means you have a lot of Neanderthal DNA.

bondsy · 17/03/2023 19:45

When I yawn, little streams of spit literally shoot out my mouth like a hosepipe sprinkler.

crossstitchingnana · 17/03/2023 19:46

If I squeeze spots on my face my left breast hurts.

Linnet · 17/03/2023 20:00

emmylousings · 17/03/2023 10:19

Cleaning ears out with cotton buds (yes I know your not supposed to), always makes me sneeze. Can't understand why.

When my sister did this it would make her cough.

Stuckinthemiddle1990 · 17/03/2023 20:02

Belly button/vagina/cervix twinge here too...

Off to Google.....
