Weird things my body does....

Over the past few weeks I've started using a brush to apply powder to my face after foundation. Before I'd just use the pad that comes with the compact.
For some reason using the brush directly in the middle of my forehead creates a reaction that feels like pins being dragged down my head.
I remembered that I had a similar reaction when I had a facial last year that involves brushing something onto my skin.
Also when I eat anything super minty it makes my ears itch.
Anyone else's body do weird things?

I get a really itchy chin when I cough

WeeOrcadian · 17/03/2023 14:07

Polos make me sneeze. When I get heartburn, I feel it in the back of my neck, right below my hairline, never in my chest

Pootles34 · 17/03/2023 14:10

If I'm in a really powerful shower, the ones that feel a bit spiky, it makes the back of my throat tickle in a really annoying manner.

Pinkishpurpleyblue · 17/03/2023 14:11

If i scratch my inner elbow one of my ribs feels like its being scratched too.

OneTC · 17/03/2023 14:59

I can blow air/smoke/whatever out through my eyes.

I am allergic to being cold

If I eat a hob nob biscuit I get an itchy feeling in my mouth and throat. It doesn't happen when I eat anything else and Im not coeliac.

Sounds like you are allergic to an ingredient in hobnob biscuits.
I get itchy mouth when I eat avocados at a certain ripeness. Underripe is fine or just right but slightly soft and my mouth itches

PinkSyCo · 17/03/2023 15:25

I get sneezing fits after a big meal.

leatherlovingluke · 17/03/2023 15:27

When I drink Chardonnay, the muscles in my jaw ache. Doesn't happen with other white wines. My FIL gets the same reaction.

I will always get hiccups when drinking something fizzy but never lasts long.

I have one tiny area on my back where I had an epidural that when touched causes agonising pain, it's been ten years! On a lighter note, I can't go to hairdressers, beauticians, spas or anything like that because if anyone touches me, I fall asleep almost immediately and it's humiliating.

Omg, I am the same to both!! My epidural was 22 yrs ago though 😥

My hairdressers think its funny that I nearly fall asleep at the basin. It takes so much energy to just stay awake that I hardly ever go now.

glitterwobbles · 17/03/2023 15:43

My elbows feel twitchy if I need a wee, if I don't go I start to drag my right leg.😍

if I get something in my eye is makes a really loud noise in my ears, does anyone else get this as I thought everyone did until I mentioned it to my family 😅

there is also a small section of my back to the side, that when touched by someone else makes me flinch. It’s as if that’s where all my nerve endings are…

Yes! Or if I have a sore throat, when I swallow it does the same! Also if I scrunch my eyes up it makes a loud noise in my ears… hard to explain! Husband gets it too!

If I'm lying in bed in the dark awake but with my eyes shut, I see flashes of colours if there are any sounds. Louder sounds mean brighter flashes and different sounds make different colours and patterns.

It only happens at night in the dark. It's quite pretty at times, even if a bit strange.

I have this. But only if I'm right on the cusp of falling asleep or been asleep just a few seconds. But mine are always black and white and in geometric patterns. Very 1960s op art style.

Last night I had just fallen asleep and DH sneezed. The sound made me wake up with this image flashing into my mind

CoalCraft · 17/03/2023 15:57

Often, when I get undressed, my whole body starts to itch, esp back, legs and arms.

My thumbs click basically whenever I flex them a d if they haven't clicked in a while they get sore.

My nose often runs and my skin tingles when I'm doing a 💩

I randomly didn't grow a second upper left premolar. The baby tooth that was there stayed till I was seventeen until the dentist pulled it, now I just have a gap.

I cannot stand touching things with wrinkly fingertips (i.e. from being wet). It's a sensory thing.

HurryShadow · 17/03/2023 15:59

Oh, just remembered, if I want to wind up DH, particularly when it's quiet in bed, I can make my eyeball squeak! Only my right one, but I put my finger in the corner of my eye near my nose and wiggle it back and forth and it squeaks!

Freaks him out so much it's funny!

Chikapu · 17/03/2023 16:00

Eating a jacket potato gives me the strangest sensation, my teeth kind of cringe (I don't know how else to explain it)

neverbeenskiing · 17/03/2023 16:03

I have acidic tears. So sometimes when I cry it actually burns my face and when I've stopped crying I'm left with two sore, red lines running down my cheeks. It doesn't happen every time I cry, just once in a while but it's odd. Googled it and apparently it is a thing.

boobeans · 17/03/2023 16:10

If something makes me jump or panic my armpits will then sting and itch while I gather myself.

boobeans · 17/03/2023 16:11

ploopypleepy · 17/03/2023 08:58

When someone or something makes me jump, I get stabbing pains and really itchy armpits 😂😂😂

I didn't see this before posting but same here!

I can raise my right eyebrow by itself but if I want to lift my left I have to lift them both together.

I cannot spit, click my fingers, or whistle.

How do you spit out your toothpaste / mouthwash???

FirmPillow · 17/03/2023 16:21

@Conkersinautumn I get that too! Cleaning my ears induces a dry coughing fit. My father has the same.

My knees itch when I am sexually aroused. My husband can tell how much I am enjoying myself my how much I scratch my knees.

A boyfriend of mine from the past can only come when he's kneeling. So no wall sex, no woman on top... basically can only have sex in like two positions Confused

QuizzlyBears · 17/03/2023 16:25

If I drop something unexpectedly, my bottom
lip quivers. So weird!

zingally · 17/03/2023 16:30

If I tickle just above my bum crack, it makes me need to urgently do a wee. Or more accurately, it turns it from "hmm, I will probably need to do a wee in the next hour." To, "OMG I need to wee NOW."

I know when I'm getting a fever because I get a strange taste behind my lower lip.

WiddlinDiddlin · 17/03/2023 16:35

Oh so many weird things, though bearing in mind I have a totally knackered spine and shoulders (stenosis, cervical, thoracic and lumbar it would appear)...

Depending on how I sleep, I may irritate nerves that serve my hand/fingers - usually that results in half the hand or two and a half fingers being numb. Half a numb finger is very odd!

Currently I've annoyed the median nerve and so it feels like half my thumb is ice cold and someones trying to drive a nail through the lower part of my palm. Ouchy.

A few weeks back something in my back went and I had the feelings of trapped wind for three weeks solid, affecting bladder and bowel sensation, control etc etc.. then something went 'twang' internally and it all instantly went back to normal. The twang itself was actually rather pleasant!

My femoral cutaneous nerve is duff, both sides now - that can feel like pain or it can feel like crawling sensations, like bugs walking on me, or like someone pouring water down my legs, or again as if some areas are ice cold. On touching those areas, they're kind of numb, ish.

More normal stuff... stabby fanny, shooty bumhole, spikey clit, half-numb-bum, all pretty regular stuff.

If I am very hungry i get a weird clicking sound in the back of my neck, others can hear it if they put their ear against the back of my neck.

I've got a patch of long black hairs growing up ONE shin, no idea why and the rest of my leg hairs are a light brown. No specific injury to that area.

I have a scar on my back where I had a mole removed, it itches, but the actual itchy point is somewhat further down and sometimes I have to get DP to hunt for the itchy point as it moves, but its all linked to the scar.

CoalCraft · 17/03/2023 16:35

Forgot to mention the family mole! My grandmother, father and one of my three siblings all have a large mole in exactly the same spot on our backs. I was kinda gutted neither of my daughters inherited it!

DH has all kinds of odd stuff going on, including a tongue tie so severe he cannot stick his tongue out at all.bit just barely protrudes beyond his lips. It apparently did not affect his feeding when he was a baby.

Maybebabyno2 · 17/03/2023 16:35

I can't bite front teeth first into fruit 😬 it gives me the heebie geebies.
