Weird things my body does....

Over the past few weeks I've started using a brush to apply powder to my face after foundation. Before I'd just use the pad that comes with the compact.
For some reason using the brush directly in the middle of my forehead creates a reaction that feels like pins being dragged down my head.
I remembered that I had a similar reaction when I had a facial last year that involves brushing something onto my skin.
Also when I eat anything super minty it makes my ears itch.
Anyone else's body do weird things?

I have a really sensitive gag reflex first thing in the morning, sometimes even my toothbrush touching the inside of my cheeks can set it off and mean I can’t stop heaving.

bigdecisionstomake · 17/03/2023 11:24

When I floss my teeth the end of my nose itches intensely - it's a thing apparently, I googled it.

Ladydinosaur · 17/03/2023 11:40

I have a lump under my left armpit
Every few months I squeeze it and out pops a perfect ball
It's hard and grey
Within 24 hours the lump is back-I have to let it grow then squeeze it-tgen the cycle continues
I always sneeze when squeezing it-at least twice

EnglishBreakfastTea · 17/03/2023 11:47

Whenever I peel potatoes, it makes me sneeze. Also, if I'm surprised - good or bad - 9 times out of 10, I'll vomit, not instantly but perhaps 30 mins after the initial shock. Trying to explain why I was vomiting to my poor husband just after he'd proposed was interesting Grin

InPraiseOfBacchus · 17/03/2023 11:47

When I eat yoghurt or similar dairy-like foods, my teeth start to feel "clicky", a bit like how a joint might click, although my teeth don't appear to move around!

666roses · 17/03/2023 11:53

If I lean forward for more than 30 second my nose runs

TeaAndTwoSugars · 17/03/2023 12:03

@rebel2

Yeah I've had it my whole life, I have eczema as well but fortunately that has gotten better.
Mine is fairly severe, every time I go outside now, cold weather, hot weather and my legs and bum are on fire.
Exercise it depends, it does improve with running but only after a while, first few times it flares up bad. I can cycle without it flaring up too much.
Dr doesn't care, they only prescribe antihistamines but there is no cure for it.
My mum had anaphylaxis while exercising once, so if I feel it getting bad I stop what I'm doing and sit down. 🙃
Day to day it doesn't bother me really, just mild itching that i'm used to now, but I wfh and am fairly sedentary at the moment.

Smogtopia · 17/03/2023 12:09

As an avid long term TTC'er I became very familiar with egg white cervical mucus.

On the days I get EWCM I also get the same sort of colourless 'snot' so I can now tell I'm ovulating by blowing my nose

Xolair has been a game changer for me, I'm able to exercise and everything now. Honestly life changing, and I've had CU since I was 12

Newnameinvade · 17/03/2023 12:16

I have a mole type thing on my eye brow , and when I rub it it it makes my inner ear itch 🤷‍♀️

sarahc336 · 17/03/2023 12:16

If I scratch/itch my nipple it kinda makes me feel like I'm thirsty 🤣🤣🤣

Arou · 17/03/2023 12:22

My partner sneezes without fail every time he chokes on something. It’s so weird lol but I suppose it makes sense?
Polystyrene and cotton wool makes me all over cringe, give me goosebumps, and I want to rip my skin off!

overthinkersanonnymus · 17/03/2023 12:35

If I stick my finger in my bellybutton, I get a twinge in my cervix!

Javelin arse during my period sometimes. No idea what causes it.

Apparently, I am not alone.

Ooh I used to get this 😫 I’d be sat at work and it would literally be so sudden and sharp it would make me jump and then I’d have to try and style it out 😅

Me and most of my friends get this but we call it 'bum shoots'!

Chocolate makes my husband sneeze ( all the more for me, then …. ).
Weirdly, FIL has the same problem , but DS hasn’t .
Guess my chocolate- addicted genes must have diluted the weirdness so it wasn’t handed on to him ! 🤣

My DH has this too! You can tell the richness of the chocolate by whether he sneezes or not! 😂

He only sneezes once though, at the start of eating it, then will be fine for the rest of it.

Jazzy21 · 17/03/2023 13:35

When I drink alcohol, both my thighs ache. Only after the first drink. Fine after that. So, so weird.

WeddingVegetables · 17/03/2023 13:37

I'm not sure it's that weird but I get backache when I eat something cold, rather than a headache. I've never had an ice cream headache in my life.

WeddingVegetables · 17/03/2023 13:38

Or brain freeze. Whatever you care to call it.

TheNoodlesIncident · 17/03/2023 13:52

When I make a mistake on Duolingo, my hands get a sharp flush of pins and needles. Lasts only one second. I found when I thought I had made a mistake but hadn't, it began the prickling but it stopped almost immediately.

I also used to find that when I lay on my front, a creeping sensation of discomfort that increased exponentially started within my pelvis. I used to continue to lie there just feeling it, until I couldn't stand it any more and changed position. I thought I might be squishing a nerve or something like that, but who knows. It just stopped happening; one day it did, next it didn't.

BertaHoon · 17/03/2023 13:56

Putting mascara on makes me sneeze.

Which is obviously annoying because then I look like Alice Cooper before I've left the mirror 🤣

Lindy2 · 17/03/2023 13:57

If I'm lying in bed in the dark awake but with my eyes shut, I see flashes of colours if there are any sounds. Louder sounds mean brighter flashes and different sounds make different colours and patterns.

It only happens at night in the dark. It's quite pretty at times, even if a bit strange.

OhwhyOY · 17/03/2023 13:59

Coughing gives me a really itchy back.

Conkersinautumn · 17/03/2023 14:02

If I tweeze my eyebrows I sneeze. If I clean my ears I cough. If I drink ginger beer from a cup I sneeze but not from a bottle.

My husband sneezes when his Stomach is full.

IfYoureGonnaBreakMyHeart · 17/03/2023 14:03

Loving all these replies. Some have made me laugh. Our bodies really do do some strange stuff!
