Weird things my body does....

Over the past few weeks I've started using a brush to apply powder to my face after foundation. Before I'd just use the pad that comes with the compact.
For some reason using the brush directly in the middle of my forehead creates a reaction that feels like pins being dragged down my head.
I remembered that I had a similar reaction when I had a facial last year that involves brushing something onto my skin.
Also when I eat anything super minty it makes my ears itch.
Anyone else's body do weird things?

Spraying saliva when I yawn (sister too)

@Tulipvase - restless arms, torso with utrogestan (HRT). It’s the weirdest thing and horrible and I empathise

chedder makes my jaw ache the minute it goes near my mouTh, only on the first bite though!

Whenever I drink two bottles of wine, my head hurts.

😂😂😂

I experience a few of these: gleeking, shower/exercise hives, squeaky eyes, javelin arse.

I also have a clicking sound in my left ear that for ages I thought was tinnitus. Then I wondered if anyone else could hear it, and I actually recorded the sound of it on my phone. It’s very, very annoying at times, and feels like it gets worse when I have a headache or stuffy sinuses.

Maybe this is a common thing but my stomach contracts in pain for quite a few minutes if I see someone hurt. I used to faint too as child but it got better on my teens. My kids find it funny and love to show me their scrapes

I have an area on my back that no one can touch. I have tics and it sets it off something wild. This makes me sad because I can never have a back massage. Also, if I scratch my right armpit I get a twinge in my tummy button 😂

TheUnquestionedAnswer · 19/03/2023 08:19

thanks for the link, been wondering how to find that one for ages!

BellatrixLestrangesHeatedCurlers · 19/03/2023 08:27

if I gently scratch the beginning of my right eyebrow, it itches inside my ear and feels absolutely amazing.

ferretface · 19/03/2023 08:38

Hmm I don't have too many of these, my weirdest ones are:

Javelin arse
Sense of smell becoming extremely acute in the week before my period
Hereditary inability to burp- I had it treated by an ENT doctor who does Botox injections to the upper oesophageal sphincter which was frankly life changing. Prior to the treatment I'd get awful trapped air every day, had to throw up air and sometimes I'd be drooling and nauseous from the amount of air if there wasn't a socially acceptable place to go and release it!

Buzzardbird · 19/03/2023 09:50

This one was explained as your body shuts down the blood supply to your extremities when their is an emergency to help your chances of survival. I get this too when people do stupid things on the road that almost cause a collision.

thanks - I hope your side effects soon diminish. I was considering whether I might need HRT in the near future, now I’m worried about the possible side effects…….

If someone describes an injury to their hands I get a tightening of my imaginary testicles. It’s a squirmy sensation.

Me too! Exactly as you describe, for a gory injury to the arms or legs!

L3andlosingit · 19/03/2023 12:38

If I eat something particularly sweet, it sometimes makes the sides of my tongue painful.

IfYoureGonnaBreakMyHeart · 19/03/2023 13:27

@Tulipvase it does vary massively from woman to woman. I'm fine on mine c

Yes, you’re right. At some point I’ll have to discuss it with a GP.

Flowersintheattic57 · 19/03/2023 15:35

If I eat something too sweet my whole mouth feels like it is having an electric shock. Very unpleasant.

LovelyIssues · 19/03/2023 17:43

My DH whispering or breathing into my ear makes my cl*t throb

Kirstie83 · 19/03/2023 19:17

Not so much a weird thing my body does but:

  1. I can smell when people are going to be poorly or are poorly.
  2. I’m allergic to the cold. It’s called Cold Urticaria.
Kmh1305 · 19/03/2023 19:35

I do too!! Weird

A loud suction noise from my throat at embarrassingly quiet times like meetings, I blame it on lack of tonsils.

FrumpyDunkerling · 19/03/2023 20:25

My sneezes smell of beeswax too. I thought it was just me.

Santina · 20/03/2023 18:52

I've had my bikini lasered years ago, I get the odd hair that needs plucking out of my groin. When I do this, it makes me elbow tingle.

Rolothecat · 20/03/2023 18:58

raw chicken breast makes my fingers tingle like pins and needles

FebruaryWhining · 20/03/2023 20:05

Libraries always make me need an urgent poo. I think it's the book smell but I don't know why.
