Set his cheating message as his screen saver

So my lying, cheating.....now (not that he knows it yet) EX is snoring away beside me. We have the same make and model of phone, and I'd plugged mine in earlier to charge, but didn't realise he'd taken mine out to charge his up while I was in the shower. A notification popped up, on what I thought was my phone plugged in, I went to read the message and saw it was from another women, talking about how amazing their kiss was, completely baffled, I soon realised it was his phone. Turns out not only have they shared this amazing kiss, but they've also spent nights together while he's been away at work. To say I'm heartbroken is an understatement, anger has over ridden me but I want to play it cool before I dump his sorry, pathetic lying cheating fucking ass!!!! I've set his screen saver to the last message she sent, so there's no way he can deny it, I'm waiting for him to eventually see it in the morning, am I crazy, or do I wake him up and kick him out now?????

I don't know how you could wait. Nice touch though with the message on screensaver. What a bastard.

Op sorry to see your world being turned upside down, enjoy seeing the lying prick turn in to a muttering stuttering mess when he sees that screen saver.

Ugh, I'm sorry . Is he staying at your place, or is this your shared home?

If it's the first then I'd be waking him up with the big light on and his bag handed to him and all the rest his crap so he can go home permanently.

If it's your shared home tho he has as much right to be there as you have.

You could string her along with a few leading questions pretending to be him, asking her what she enjoyed most and what she's most looking forward to next. And take photos of his screen for when he deletes them and tries to suggest you're 'crazy'.

Send yourself all or at least screenshots of the messages. Pack all his shit in a bag or several carrier bags. Put them out on the street. Then chuck the phone at his head and tell him to get the fuck out. He can look at his new screensaver as he stands next to his belongings outside your locked front door.

I'm not that cool, I'd be sending the message to everyone in his contacts.

Then I would be replying to the OW (as your ex), maybe ask her to come round for breakfast because you have gone away for a couple of days?

I'm sorry OP Tell us more about your situation. Don't wake him up yet. Have a cup of tea and try to calm down a bit. Do you have kids? Is it a joint home or yours? 💐

Not sure I could sit in bed next to him listening to that snoring
As I wouldn’t be able to sleep much now anyway, I’d make good use of my time and stick all his clothes in bin bags in his car.

Save all the messages, wake him up and chuck him out.
Phone an emergency locksmith and get the locks changed.

All I would say is make sure you know that this message is 100% meant for your other half and sender is stating the facts!

Wallpaper. Not screensaver. Did people just forget the last twenty years of computing?

To be fair, I suspect she means his Lock Screen?

Could be mistaken but isn’t wallpaper a static background picture (I have one behind the icons on my iPhone) and screensaver is what becomes visible when a device is left untouched/locked? Sure they’re two different things.

Anyway OP, good on you for having the strength to let him sleep. I’d be tipping a bucket of cold water on his head!

I like the advice to take screen shots or everything. Mainly so you can show other people what he's like. He has already had an affair and allowed left his phone alone knowing messages like that weren't hidden (never changed settings)
If he cared he would panic if you went near his phone. Kick out now! He didn't care enough to mute the notifications

Unhinged. Why would you want her in your house?

I'm loving imagining the panic on his face thinking he's accidentally set the text there and trying to change it before you see. Then catching sight of you and realisation dawns...
