Yesssss Rishi 🥳

Chowtime · 02/02/2023 21:30

A woman is a human with two x chromosomes.

IVFbeenverylucky · 02/02/2023 21:31

Any adult homosapien without a Y chromosome.

IVFbeenverylucky · 02/02/2023 21:31

@Chowtime
Nope. Normally yes, but some people have XXY, and they are male - the Y chromosome is the sex chromosome.

Jotters · 02/02/2023 21:32

I will vote Labour but I can't stand the wokism. I wish they had a better leader.

Member869894 · 02/02/2023 21:32

Isn't he right?

maslinpan · 02/02/2023 21:33

I'm sure Keir's mum could explain what a woman is if he's a bit confused.

BigMandysBookClub · 02/02/2023 21:34

Pfffttttt

SavoirFlair · 02/02/2023 21:34

It was super, super easy for Rishi to give that answer. His voter base are crying out for common sense.

For Starmer, he is surrounded by left wing booby traps (excuse the pun).

He can’t make any statement because it won’t be left / righteous enough for this new vanguard. And if he tries to do a Rishi, he will be ripped to shreds by the shrillest of left wing activists who will see it as a sign Labour Doesn’t Care.

The left is awful (I’m left wing..) because we have such absolutism in our politics. Anyone who doesn’t subscribe to the world as seen, is a heretic and a Tory, and deserves casting out or worse.

IVFbeenverylucky · 02/02/2023 21:41

@SavoirFlair I agree with you basically, but the left is ideological, the right is about money and power. I'd rather have beliefs and values tbh.

PennyToffee · 02/02/2023 21:45

Rishi Rich knows what to say to get the votes. Let's face it he hasn't got much else going for him.

It's all spin.

lifeturnsonadime · 02/02/2023 21:49

Labour is losing women over this issue. Nandy would see that double rapist in womens prison , she said so in 2020 and Starmer says it’s incorrect to say that only women have a cervix.

Women and children deserve better than this .

FestiveAF · 02/02/2023 21:51

I’m currently having to choose between my two strongest beliefs of education and women and I don’t like it.

PriOn1 · 02/02/2023 21:54

Depends whether you are being asked to believe (or at least pretend to believe) something you know is entirely untrue and will obviously be very damaging to society in general and women and children in particular. That’s where I would draw a line and say I can no longer follow.

SirSamVimesCityWatch · 02/02/2023 21:54

FUCKING YES RISHI!!

This is my red line. I am a single issue voter and THIS is that issue.

All of my previous voting has been lib dem, labour, or (last GE) a spoiled ballot. But if there is only one political party that will state, clearly, that a woman is an adult human female, then that is the party I will vote for.

Sorry not sorry, as the kids say.

MarshaBradyo · 02/02/2023 21:56

I don’t know why Labour and the left find this so hard but good to hear it from Rishi

It’s easy to say if you don’t feel beholden to ideological lies for whatever reason.

BoredOfThisMansWorld · 02/02/2023 21:57

There's nothing inherently left wing about gender ideology. It's utterly individualistic. All those different identities and labels are a capitalist dream, and that's before you factor in elective surgery and hormones. This new religion is making some people very rich. The belief in gender stereotypes is pretty right wing too, as is ensuring that some people (gay, autistic) can't breed, through sterilisation.

I am a very left wing socialist but I don't especially prefer socialist misogynists to conservative ones. At least the latter are fairly honest about it. Socialist misogynists, on the other hand, like to go on about how good they are. Yet they give themselves away by dangling our rights to abortion in front of us " You have to side with us because otherwise they'll take that away" showing they completely understand patriarchal power structures and are happy to benefit from them.

ghostyslovesheets · 02/02/2023 21:59

I'm glad he said it BUT a) he represents a party that doesn't do much to support women on a daily basis and b) it further places socialist realist feminists like myself along side the right - making us easier for twonks like OJ to attack and accuse us of being right wing fanatics - ffs KS stop fucking stalling and call it

It depresses me a prime minister is being asked stupid questions such as this when there are much more pressing topics at the moment to be honest. The media do annoy me they really do.

But it's a major new topic - given the recent issues of locking male rapists in women's prisons - for many women this IS a pressing topic!

Once women lose their sex based rights we are basically Gilead. This is THE pressing topic for some of us. Don’t be so arrogant.

MajesticWhine · 02/02/2023 22:08

Well said Rishi

Eyesopenwideawake · 02/02/2023 22:10

You are all getting fucked over yet you relish the Tory soundbites?

#despair.

I joined the Labour Party in 1984 - I know the Tories are fucking us over - but a woman who values her sex based rights - so are Labour

RocketIceLollie · 02/02/2023 22:16

Changing sex doesn't change that you are a convicted rapist. Of course they shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a female prison. You can choose to change sex but that they are still a convicted rapist. An Op doesn't change that status.
