Just watching it on tv.

It was my favourite year..I was 16 and having the time of my life…Brit pop, house music, clubs, boys, alcohol & cigarettes…and the rest

I miss it and me then..tiny waist, smooth skin, a bit of attitude and energy and a lust for life 😫

What were you doing in 1994?

I was being 8/9. It was a strange year for me, my Mum was diagnosed with cancer and my previously idyllic childhood got turned upside down. But I still have loads of happy memories from that time - listening to The Real McCoy on my tape player, hanging out with my friends at the park and camping at the end of our garden, getting 20p from my Dad to go and buy pick n mix and absolutely loving school and football.

Interspersed with those memories are the smells of hospitals, and Mum starting to lose her hair and suddenly not seeming to be that same person that I had always loved most in the world any more.

That was the year every member of my family was in hospital at some point. Music wasn't that great - E17 were still bleating away. Britpop was only just starting.

Backpacking around Australia with my best friend, it was the best year of my life!

My favourite year too, OP! It's the year I'd go back to if someone invented a time machine!

I was 14/15. It was the year of a fantastic school trip, going away for the first time with my friends and without my parents.

It was also my coming of age year when I felt the shift from a child to a teen. I also had my first innocent experience of unrequited love!

It was the year of possibilities and where I truly felt the world was my oyster and I could achieve anything.

Sadly, it all went downhill after 1994. 😔

I remember it as the year Kurt Cobain shot himself so tinged with some sadness for me.

I was 3. Very much in a wellie boots, poofy velvet (hand-me-down) party dress and fairy wings for everyday attire phase.

I turned 32 today, with a very similar 3yo of my own in tow!

I was 14, also discovering fags, booze and boys, just 17 magazine, listening to E17, eternal and watching byker grove, shopping in miss selfridge at the weekend.

I had kids aged 8, 6 and 2, and my marriage was falling apart. I didn’t enjoy 1994.

I was recovering from a broken engagement, moving to a new job in a different city and then meeting the wonderful man who is now my husband of 25 years. 1994 was a busy old year!

my home life was quite hard and i’m so glad it’s not 1994 anymore.

1994 was good and I have very fond memories of a youth service trip abroad, but 1995 was the best year ever.

I’d just got engaged to my boyfriend, now dh. We were still heavily clubbing at that stage and having a fantastic time with few responsibilities.

I'd had my first baby the previous year and got pregnant with my second that year, and we moved to a bigger house in a new area. It was a busy, happy time.

I was 8 and it was the year before we moved to Saudi Arabia. 1995-9 are my favourite years and I miss it so much!
