Just watching it on tv.

It was my favourite year..I was 16 and having the time of my life…Brit pop, house music, clubs, boys, alcohol & cigarettes…and the rest

I miss it and me then..tiny waist, smooth skin, a bit of attitude and energy and a lust for life 😫

What were you doing in 1994?

I was 16 that year too. The music was amazing. Had just started to go to clubs and pubs. Went to Glastonbury. Happy times! Lots of angst too mind...

I was 13 going on 14, so in Year 9. I think that's the year I played trombone for a bit, alongside my other instruments, and I was doing dance which I loved.

I think that was also the year I went to a hypnotherapist for depression, but that could have been the following year, I don't remember exactly.

It was completely excellent! So much teenage freedom, top gear and great music.

Also, people looked better. They were not fat or dip dyed a strange orange colour. I miss people not looking like giant satsuma

You're all so young!

I was 42, had 3 kids, aged 8,6 and 3, and just engrossed in everything that that entails as a SAHM.

Don't remember much specifically about music or politics, but was a good time, lots of socialising with and without kids, planned and spontaneous.

Am not really prone to nostalgia, although the 60s ... :)

A levels, clubbing, strawberry 20/20, excellent dance music, spending afternoons in the pub playing pool, caravan holidays to Newquay with the girls, hot pants, carefree

I was 27, married with two children age 9 and 6 so very busy with them. I can look back fondly on their primary school years but I actually cringe at the fashion and music of the 90s. Dreadful!

I was 26 and had had my 3rd baby in 2 yrs and 3 months Grin
Life was a blur, but baby no 3 was a delight and I was a happy stay at home Mum with my pack!
Now said baby has a baby of her own and I look after him round her nursing shifts and love it! 1994 was a happy year for me!

1993 dh and I bought a huge flat that needed a lot of work that we couldn’t afford. 1994 I spent working almost non stop to fund our renovations. It can’t all have been work as I got pregnant with ds1 at the end of the year. I don’t remember much else about it.

I was 24. Working in my first “proper” graduate job. I had money, freedom, a decent figure and attitude. I miss me then!

I was 18. Working in a shop, a bit stuck in a rut education/employment wise. Fell for a complete Bastard who spent a year telling me I was the love of his life before dumping me over the phone on the first day of my new job. Music was amazing back then, always going to gigs and clubs and festivals. Had some great friends, girls and boys. I earned well below what would be minimum wage and still had money for clothes. I was smallest size in most shops. I still smoked. Dog Man Star by Suede was, and still is my favourite album of all time. 1995 though was more fun. And 1999, 2002, 2005….

In Upper Sixth and then off to university in the autumn.
Yeah I think 1994 was my favourite year. I did really really well in my A-levels and I'd worked hard to get that. I was full of hope. It was so exciting starting university and doing the subject I loved. I thought I was going to change the world and was so upbeat and positive.
Got to university and had the most amazing time living away from home for the first time. Made friends. Fell out with them. Made up. Made new friends.
Got wasted - a lot. On pernod.
My life didn't turn out the way I thought it would back then but it's turned out right for me in the end. I wouldn't want to go back and go through everything I've been through, but if I could just go to 1994 and stay there for a bit and enjoy that hope and excitement again, that would be lovely!

I was deeply into putting on illegal raves all over the country with my then boyfriend now husband until the criminal justice bill put paid to all that. Absolutely incredible couple of years leading up to it though - Free Party People!

Went off backpacking for 3 years after that, am in my mid 50's now with two adult children. Cannot believe that's nearly 30 years ago! Such a brilliant time of my life.

I bought my second flat in 1994.
I couldn't sell my first flat fast enough, so a bank manager took me to lunch and offered me a £10k overdraft for the deposit if I opened an account with his bank - which I only needed for a week or so between exchange and completion because I had a 100% mortgage.
(on top of the mortgage I had for my first flat).😃
