Not in a great position with my finances so trying to sell extra bits on vinted to make extra cash for Christmas.
Sold a brand new bottle of perfume and it was delivered on Tuesday.
She was online since then every hour or so and didn't confirm delivery.
A hour before I was due to get funds released she claims it hasn't arrived.
Yodel tracking shows delivered,I have proof of postage,I spoke to yodel customer service who have checked and the drivers sat nav have showed delivery to exact location.
I'm gutted -it's £40 I need
I'm worried vinted will refund her and she has my perfume.
I've forwarded all this to vinted but not hopeful

Buyer hasn't replied to any messages either

I don't know for sure but vinted have been good when I've sold things and they have got lost. I bought something that got lost and me and the buyer both got a refund, I sold something that got lost and once delivery wasn't confirmed the funds cleared for what I should have had from the sale. I'm lm still relatively new to vinted but they seem pretty reasonable as long as you've sent it with one of their shipping labels x

Vinted tracking will show it as delivered. It's up to the buyer to confirm she received it or notify vinted of an issue. If she doesn't do that vinted will automatically finalise the sale and send you the money.

Yodel have confirmed they delivered to customer at her exact location at 12.31 on Tuesday

Vinted tracking ties in with Yodel. Or it does when I buy and sell. She will be receiving auto emails from vinted to confirm all is in order.

I get emails reminding me.

Can you go into your conversation trail with the buyer and see what it says and

I bought something that didn't arrive - think it was delivered to the wrong address (or stolen by the awful Evri delivery driver round here). Vinted refused to refund me. The seller could prove that she sent it and I don't doubt her at all. I think she got paid and I lost out. I was so annoyed as they force you to pay 'insurance' for these kind of instances. I guess they just didn't believe me !

And just to add - ever since then I always get stuff delivered to a shop so I can pick it up. Less likely to go missing then!

Vinted have replied saying
"Yes we can see it's delivered to address but you can't show proof buyer has it in their possession-maybe they weren't home and it was left in safe place"

What can I do about that ?
Anyone could just claim they haven't received it

It's for you to take up with Yodel if if she's saying it's not received - did they provide a photo of the delivery? Can you tell Vinted you're checking again with the courier and can they wait to make a decision?

Ask yodel to get a description of the person they delivered to. They'll probably be willing to return to the address.

Let all parties know you'll be reporting the theft to the police and whoever's lying will soon magically find the parcel.

Yodel are meant to provide a photo of item delivery, ie, the safe place or an open doorway.

I will say yodel "delivered" a parcel to me and said the same that the satnav showed driver at the delivery location. Turns out they'd put it in next doors parcel box, and they are out the country half the year....

However I started chasing it the second I got all the delivery confirmation emails as I knew it hadn't been delivered so my suspicion would be the buyer is pulling a fast one yes.

I have had this with Evri and Depop. Evri tracking said delivered but the buyer said they had not received it. I contacted Evri asking for proof of delivery and they couldn't provide it. I told Depop this and showed them the conversation with Evri refusing to provide proof. Depop refunded the buyer and me through the insurance.

To be fair, I have had this happen to me as a buyer (of something quite expensive) and with Royal Mail, no less. Royal Mail said it was delivered and handed to me. It wasn't. I had actual CCTV footage of the time they said it was delivered, their van was on the street (so GPS showed it there at "my property") but I had evidence they delivered nothing. It still took me several weeks of constant arguing with both the seller and Royal Mail, and eventually Royal Mail ended up paying me "a goodwill gesture admitting no liability" when I threatened to take the complaint and the footage from my CCTV to the regulator. It's not always the recipient trying it on - even "reliable" services can fail for whatever reason.

Surely if you have proof you have sent the item you will get your money from Vinted regardless, it doesn’t matter where the item has or hasn’t gone. Has the buyer actually clicked the button to say there is an issue with the item or has she just messaged you?

not saying shes not lieing but i had this with rm theyre tracking said it was delivered to my address and handed to me even said it on the gps

theyd delivered to a similar address up the road-luckily the woman came round and gave it to me -rm didnt wantt o know nor did the seller when i said but its not here

Ask vinted how exactly you’re supposed to have proof that they received it, beyond confirmation from the courier that they did. What would they expect you to be able to provide? And if the answer is nothing then respond ‘so how am I supposed to protect myself against fraudsters when using your app, or are you actually saying that isn’t possible and that the service isn’t fit for purpose?’
