How much alcohol does your DH/DP drink weekly? (Average)

Wanting to know as DH claims his drinking is below average for a man his age (mid 30s)

Just a general idea would be nice so I could show him!

My DH doesn’t drink he gave up about 6 years ago but before that we’d share a bottle of wine most Friday nights and he’d maybe also have a tot of whisky on a Sunday if we lit the fire. Maybe a beer with dinner if we went out to eat

Same as me, which is usually half a bottle of wine on Friday night and maybe a couple of bottles of cider on either Saturday or Sunday.

None. My DH never drinks. He used to drink a fair amount, 8 cans a night or more and one day, 10 years ago realised it was a problem and just stopped.

Dh has a beer a few evenings a week. Never more than one.
If we go out he might have a couple of beers or a couple of glasses of wine..

We share a bottle of wine on Friday night usually. Maybe two pints if we go to the pub. A third would be an issue.

Mine doesn't drink at home, but he will go out for a drink maybe every 2-3 weeks. Then he'll have a few.

I have one single drink - glass of wine or gin and Tonic- at home maybe 4 nights a week but don't really go out drinking.

How do you mean - problem?

The odd bottle of beer in the summer, odd glass of red wine in the winter.

Probably less than 10 units a year.

Neither of us are drinkers, like the taste but not how it makes you feel.

Mine drinks too much. Maybe 4 cans or equivalent 4-5 nights a week.

It’s a bone of contention.

But he holds down a demanding job does a fair share around the house.
It isn't my place to police another adult.

He might have two beers in one week them nothing at all for weeks or months then maybe a whisky 2 nights in a row then nothing for weeks or months again.

DH has maybe one or two ciders per week. Some weeks it’s none, though.

Nothing at all! Maybe 3 times per year for special occasions and he will have 1/2 drinks. He is 30.

DH doesn't drink at home but will have the odd non-alcoholic beer. He probably goes out and has a drink once every two weeks or so, normally a couple of beers. He was a bit tipsy when he came home one night this week and first time he's been like that for about a year (was celebrating with a mate)

Maybe a few beers a month. Neither of us really drink at home unless it's a party or a cold beer on a hot day.

DH is in his forties and hardly drinks. He sometimes has 1 beer a week in the summer if the weather is nice but is not bothered the rest of the time.
Me, on the other hand has 2 glasses of wine on a Fri and Sat without fail.

We are 43. At home he drinks maybe 3/4 cans Friday/Saturday only .
Socialising/out and about more like 4/5 pints on a night out ( once a month or so) maybe less with a cocktail or shorts instead.

None, he's been teetotal since his early 20s. I would hate to live with someone who was often drunk.

Hardly anything. I drink about half a bottle to a bottle a week.

I might have a binge once every 3 months.

Maybe 3 or 4 beers a week - a couple on a Friday and Saturday. That's it.

Unfortunately too much. 6-8 cans every night. Definitely more than average

Probably 2 or 3 pints after work with colleagues a couple of nights a week then we might share a bottle on Sat night and over Sunday lunch. Always does Dry Jan and Sober October and nothing at all during the week or Sundays if very intense times at work.
