AIBU?
Can this be true?

I don't know the word but the power of certain minds? Is it real?
3 years ago I had a week's horrible unexpected hospital stay. I swelled up so much I took my engagement ring off (not my wedding ring).
When I came home I put it somewhere "safe" as I was still bloated and since then I haven't found it. I'm almost certain it was in the kitchen but to this day I haven't found it.
It's a beautiful ring, not massively expensive (cost £375 18 years ago). It was designed based on Monica's ring from Friends but opposite settings - emerald cut sapphire, with a small diamond either side on a white gold plain band.
Can anyone help me find it please? 🙈 I'm not spiritual but willing to try this ridiculous plea to being my lovely eing back to me.
Am I being unreasonable?

Have you had all the things out that can be pulled out, ie washing machine, fridge etc pulled fully out? Not relevant if it’s all fitted it but worth a try if they are moveable.

In a kitchen cupboard. Up high rather than a low one. Left hand side tucked in the front corner

Do you still have the clothes or bags you used for hospital stay ? Check all pockets. My DH found his watch in the inside zip compartment of a rucksack 3 years after moving house.

Gosh yes, zip compartments of bags - every bag - is a good shout.
I just found a missing item in an infeasible small handbag after two years. I have no recollection whatsoever of putting it in there, or why. Absentmindedness probably.

I was really hopeful 2 weeks ago when we had a new washing machine arrive as I thought it might be under the old one but no! The only other appliance that hasn't been moved is the fridge freezer which is integrated but there is a gap so there might be a chink of hope.

I've honestly taken everything out of the two cupboards that are most likely at least 3 times and cleaned the tops of all units. Not there.

I have no clue what I would have come home with unfortunately.

There is no such thing as “the power of certain minds”.
People can offer helpful suggestions though.

Feel around the hemline of your coats and jackets. If there’s a hole in the pocket lining, it could have fallen through

You need to ask St Anthony.
Knock three times on a wooden surface and intone “Saint Anthony, Saint Anthony please come around. Something is lost and needs to be found.” Then once the ring is found do say Thank You.
It may be bobbins but it has worked many times for me.
Good luck and I hope you find it.

Pray to St Anthony.
Fist bump!

This is going to make me sound like a nutter, and I’m normally a very rational person (honest).
Ask the ‘little people’ very politely for it back. It tends to work for me. 😬

Look in the 'tat' drawer. You probably put it right at the front and it's slid to the back.

I lost a watch some years ago, I searched high and low, prayed to St Anthony and eventually gave up and replaced it.
We moved home and on moving day the removal team found it laid bang in the middle of a king size bed base.
We did have a “presence” in the house so I can only think she was playing tricks.

Here’s some hope. DH lost his wedding ring 12 years ago at our old house. We eventually assumed one of the children had posted it down a radiator/similar. A few months ago I was clearing out a niknak jar in our kitchen in our new house that we moved to 9 years ago (which I clear out pretty much every six months) and guess what I found?! Utterly bizarre, I’ve emptied that jar so many times🤷🏼♀️. It may well turn up!!!

Try a drawer, upstairs in your home, not the kitchen.
Near something wicker or similar material.
Obki · 12/10/2022 09:43
A spice rack or mini wooden drawers like this. I think you slipped it into something small.

BreatheAndFocus · 12/10/2022 09:44
It’s not in the kitchen. It’s in your bedroom, either in a small pot or in a small drawer. Go back over your journey when you re-entered the house with it. Literally re-live the journey.

Do you have a place where you keep spare keys? Could be there?
